Baymont by Wyndham Hot Springs On the Lake

Leak in ceiling and black mold and dust all over the ceiling

Confusion over the room amenities on my reservations. Need to specify balcony or pool or lake view. The suite amounted to a worn old couch, needed replacement. No other room was available.

The microwave was not opening some times,bathroom exhaust fan was not working? Otherwise it is a nice place to be.

Checked in and the first room was filthy. Asked for a refund or a different room. Was shown another room and it was not as dirty but it was still real dirty. Left and asked for a refund.

We stayed there for one night. It was a beautiful lake view and we stayed in a room with a balcony. The actual room was not the cleanest. The lamp shades had mold on them and the actual lamps were rusted. The walls had stains and looked like it was repainted in areas but definitely didn’t match. The baseboard in the room was beyond dirty. For one night it was fine but not sure if I would have stayed another night if we were planning on it.

Lots of cobwebs in the hotel lobby, hanging from signs and lights. Same in the room, thick webs in the corners and lots of dirt, dust and hair in corners. Room had a bit of a damp smell. Shower would not turn off and WiFi did not work the first night, reported both to the front desk and both were fixed upon return later that afternoon.

Our room needs to be cleaned! The floors need swept and mopped! Very dirty. Pool needs major attention! Loved the location and the balcony facing the lake.

Check in was easy — we got up to the room and the first thing I noticed was the curtains halfway hanging off the hooks. We dropped our bags and left, came back late and immediately got ready for bed. The next morning we realized the bedsheet were dirty and the comforter had dirt all over it. At breakfast, there were so many fruit flies around the bananas and they were brown — this was at 6:30am, only 30 minutes after the start of breakfast. The whole establishment has an awful smell to it but it’s the worst in the elevator. Book somewhere else if you have the chance!

Not as nice as I expected. Needs some updating, especially the AC. It worked, but was Really loud (fan issues). The plumbing also was loud. I'm not particularly strong in the sense of hearing, but the toilet sounded like a screaming banshee when it was flushed.

The room was clean but for 48 hours of our five day stay our roomed was doomed with the over smell of pott. Even the house keeper noticed it.It flowed straight into our room. First they said they credit our account then next day said she never said that. Never offered to switch rooms or help get the smell out of our room. Pool was gross and not clean. Breakfast area was not clean. Food was not good. However the only thing that was pleasant was our housekeeper was overwhelming nice and happy to help with anything.

Room was very clean. View of the lake is beautiful. Close to several good seafood restaurants.

Room was clean-ish, until we actually looked closely - stains/dirty bedding, floors dirty, what appeared to be mold on the pipes under the sink, pool filled with dead bugs. Room felt damp the entire visit and maintenance appears to have been ignored. Breakfast was subpar. The view was nice and they did have new cushions for some of the seating - the rest were ripped and in need of replacement.

Hotel in poor condition…. Pool was a slight green and outdoor furniture was in very poor condition… landscaping needs attention…. Hotel seems old and needs a thorough cleaning …. Was pretty disappointed

Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Lake was beautiful. Quick check in and out. Breakfast was good. Air conditioner was leaking water and the pool was dirty. Pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or chemicals put in for a while. Good for a few nights, but I don’t know if I would stay here again.

Had kids next door banging on my room door all night long playing. We caught them doin it and went reported it and all staff did was call and ask and they say it was the people next door which was an elderly couple. They did it all night long until the parents in the next rm came out and I gave them a piece of my mind and warned them if it was done again that the ending results wasn’t gone be nice. We had to leave for a while to let things settle down and them kids go to bed because they were out of control! Parents that give kids separate rooms need to attend them like they would at home. Staff didn’t come up to the floor or nothing to see what was going on or nothing. I complained everytime they did it, and nothing happened!!!

Walked in lobby was clean. Only 1 staff member was helpful in 3 days. Had to put in maintenance requests as soon as I got into my room. Which were never completed. I was told he needs to order parts. All of which I priced were available at Lowe’s. His response was we don’t actually fix things just order new ones to save time…. It cost more and takes longer if a job is a 5 min job to order than just do it. I bet they won’t do the repairs at all. My floors were sticky like they just sprayed Lysol all over it. The fridge leaked water, had to put a towel under it. No repaired either.
