Holiday Inn Express Houston Downtown by IHG

Got there and our room wasn’t ready. We were on a time crunch and didn’t find out our room wasn’t ready until we got there

I didn’t like Expedia double charging me the room overcharging me by $190. I will never be using Expedia again.

The stay was amazing and the location was perfect being that we were attending a game that night so we avoided all of the hustle and bustle of traffic. That being said the valet could’ve used more than one person. I walked in not knowing anything and no one was there to help. I found a sign that said lobby on 5th floor which to me was super random but hey I got there and checked in so that would be my only suggestion: more valet staff or a greater on the ground floor.

The valet parking is worth the extra 8 dollars your paying for parking no matter what

Not a good pick for high volume weekends— unreliable parking/valet and customer service.

Booked online room was paid for & Check in was at 3pm arrived at 3:18pm room wasn’t ready they got my number we went to to eat and sightsee Houston got back to the hotel close 6:40pm still no room was ready they had to check with housekeeping and finally got a room after 7pm

STAFF WAS AMAZING HAD AN AMAZING STAY!

Our stay was excellant. Check in and out was quick, pleasant & relaxing. The only problem was at breakfast, no sausage, no potatoes, no butter , no jelly & no coffee . Waited about 10 minutes for coffee and about 20 for sausage patty & potatoes.

Great place to stay !!

This hotel exceeded our expectations with location and cleanliness. It was a short walk to all the places we wanted to see including the Astros game. We were here for 3 days and enjoyed each one. There are a few things to know ahead of time. Parking will be the main thing that frustrates you. It was $50 a night to use the garage at the hotel and it filled up quickly. There are other parking options around but we found the garage to be helpful so we paid the $50. The breakfast is great but if it’s a busy weekend they struggle to refill the food quickly and it created some wait times. Those are the only things that we found to be difficult. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

Great stay and walking distance to the Astro game.

The room was very clean!

The hotel room was spacious and clean while the staff was attentive and friendly always greeting you upon arrival and departure of the elevator. The complementary breakfast was great as well!
