OYO Hotel Houston Katy Freeway

I would give this hotel ZERO stars if I could. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially families. We drove approximately five hours from Dallas, Texas, expecting to check into a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel. Instead, we arrived at a filthy, poorly maintained property with terrible customer service, disgusting rooms, broken lights, missing pillows, bugs crawling on the floor, and a front desk employee who showed absolutely no concern about our situation. After everything we experienced, we did not even stay at this hotel. We were forced to find and pay for another hotel after a long drive, and we ended up losing our money for three nights. This was an absolutely unacceptable experience, and I strongly believe that Hotels.com needs to seriously reconsider listing this hotel on its platform. Absolutely Filthy Rooms and Unacceptable Conditions When we first arrived at OYO Hotel Houston Katy Freeway, the front desk employee was extremely rude and unhelpful. From the very beginning, we felt unwelcome. After driving for approximately five hours, all we wanted was to check into our room, get some rest, and enjoy a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the room we were given was absolutely disgusting. The bed was not even made, the room was filthy, and almost all the lights were not working

Price My room was supposed to come with a microwave and a refrigerator it did not.They had a microwave vineyard that did not work.I had 3 days without TV. There was roaches almost everywhere.. housekeeper will not come to your room. You literally have to tell her

Well, for one they don’t even let you in they make you talk through a window with a list of made up rules. but it’s in Katy so I thought things would be a little more nice but even talking through the window the security guard was the one checking people in. I don’t even think there was a front desk worker but told me they couldn’t give me a room for a room that I booked way in advance. Then I was calling the hotel multiple times throughout the day to make sure I was able to get a room and don’t want picked up which would’ve been convenient because when I did make it there, they told me that I would have to contact who I booked with because they wouldn’t be able to give me a room tonight well to be exact. I booked the king size bed, but he told me that they didn’t have anymore. they only had double beds and I said well can I get one of those and he said no cause you’re not going to like them. So I left and continued through Expedia to help me get another room somewhere else.

Everything. Mold bugs, the murders that have recently occurred here, the graffiti on the room walls and holes punched in walls, urine sprayed on walls. Left after walking in. Again, it needs to be torn down immediately!

The room they gave me had a mess there was a bed standing up, a broken mini fridge in the restroom I didn’t even stay there I got another hotel and they said they didn’t have other rooms available

Yes that they took my money for the room when I booked it but didn't allow me to stay because they gave my room away

I did not stay at this hotel due to the extremely poor and concerning condition of the property. Upon arrival, I noticed homeless individuals around the property, which immediately made me uncomfortable. When I entered the room, the A/C unit was pulled out of the wall. I also pulled back the covers and discovered what appeared to be bugs in the bed. I was in the room for approximately two minutes before deciding that I could not stay there. I immediately notified the front desk attendant, who was the only staff member on duty at the time. He assured me that I would receive a full refund. I even offered to assist with cleaning the room, but I never received any follow-up from the property manager nor did Expedia regarding my refund. This experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I strongly believe Expedia should review this property and consider whether it meets the standards expected of properties listed on its platform. Please honor the full refund that was promised.

Only one room avaiable. The TV was ripped off the walls, ac did not work. (It is August in Texas) and the room was not maintained well, floor dirty and paint/makeup smeared all on the wall. Horrible customer service and I was not able to get my money back after 4 nights of paying in advance. Do not stay here

The employee was nice The roaches, dirty room. Location is very bad. Infested with roaches to the point where they crawl on you. Not safe to walk outside at night.

I didn’t like anything about the property they falsely advertised with the photos I didn’t like anything about it

Absolutely nothing. There was a weird smell the moment I stepped into the lobby. I was given three different rooms. At the first room, the door did not open. The second room was already occupied. And the third room was filled with roaches.
