Candlewood Suites Huntersville by IHG

Didn’t know they served it. No one said anything to me when I checked in. I had to pay a $75.00 pet fee that was non refundable. Was not told that when I booked. Have never had to pay that before. Also, could not use my AAA discount because I prepaid. Was not told this either. I have stayed at Candlewood many times before, but this last time has left a very bad taste in my mouth. The pet fee was charged after I had prepaid for the room. On a separate charge after I arrived. Too late to go somewhere else. Very poor business.

ONLY location and 1 staff member The room was disgusting. We had mold and old liquid on the bottom of the couch cushions and on the pullout bed. Old food on the walls in the kitchen and a completely broken toilet seat

The only good thing about the property was the location. Very safe area. The property was filthy. For the amount I paid, I expected a lot more. When we pulled out the couch sofa there was stuff all over the mattress pad that was on the pull out couch, and the mattress was absolutely disgusting. I called the front desk and he said housekeeping wasn’t there anymore and he didn’t have anyone else to come clean so he switched us to another room. The room he switched us to still gave me a bad feeling. Just not a clean hotel at all.

It was a nice overnight stay. Property was very convenient to all of our needs.

The check-in staff was not pleasant at all. The hotel smelled like cigarettes and I am not a smoker. The suite looked like it had not been booked in a while. It had not been vacuumed or dusted in a while. It did not have a fresh smell to it at all. Aluminum foil was covering something in the ceiling and the television only had a sound (no picture). I informed the morning clerk an and his reaction was wow! Definitely OVERPRICED!!!! I will never stay there again and definitely will not recommend to anyone else!

Didn’t old and run down Need remodeling

Had a great experience will be back. Front desk was very helpful the room had everything I needed to relax after a long day of work.

The only problem was getting in and out of the room. Had to continually go to the front desk to reactivate the key card

Location The place is tired and needs updating. Example, bathtub cracked with holes. Areas with darkness like mold or old dirt.

The property/the room was in need of some repairs. The amenities were good.

Location was great Very dated. Bathtub appeared dirty and very old. Fixtures were very old, repairs were not done properly.

Parking was good and shops near by is convenient, but the property just need to upgrade a few things or maybe I should say touch up a few things. The tub was rusted and disgusting, toilet had a molded ring inside and the noise was terrible. Sound like the person above was moving furniture all day and night. Just a lot going and had be overstimulated. I don’t expect perfection, but the experience could be better.

Nothing. Everything. No desk clerk. Someone from another hotel showed up to check us in. Weird. Didn’t get the room I paid for. Room I got was gross. Tub was peeling, it smelled weird.
