Comfort Suites near Birkdale Village- Huntersville

Very good

It was convenient to where I needed to be. The price was good. Breakfast was provided. It was quiet. It was comfortable. I was given a ‘handicap accessible’ room that didn’t strike me as completely accessible. First the good: wide doorways, low bed, roll-up sink, low fridge and microwave, seat in the shower. Now the bad: shampoo/conditioner completely out of reach from shower seat, towel rack and hooks out of reach from shower seat, coffee/tea maker much too high to be used from wheelchair. For a handicapped person traveling alone, this room falls short!

Gentleman at front desk was terrific. Very professional. Rooms were immaculate Not a thing

Great location, comfy beds and friendly staff The only problem I had was when we got back to the hotel about 1:30 there were no parking spaces. I had to park in the drop off section over night.

Everyone and everything

The location is very convenient to shopping, dining, and things to do. Car dependent. The place is older, older furniture, but the staff is very friendly and helpful

The price. But I could’ve had a much better stay somewhere else for just a little bit more money. The carpet was stained. The sofa was stained. There was what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. Black splotches. But the very worst part was that the room smelled like wet dogs. I’m not sure if the odor was coming from the sofa or the carpet. It about made us sick. I was so glad to get out of that building. And the stink even stuck to our clothes and belongings. It was absolute worst hotel stay of my life. We didn’t notice it at first, it was after we had put on our pajamas and unpacked. By then we decided just to stick out the stank. The next morning, we both felt rather nauseous. Our stay there will certainly be memorable, but I will never stay at another Comfort hotel again. It was horrible!

Rating: 1/5 Stars This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. After a grueling 12-hour drive from Florida, my family and I arrived exhausted around 1:00 AM, only to walk into an absolute nightmare. The online reviews for this place are completely misleading. The room was utterly disgusting and outdated. The moment we walked in, we were hit with heavy, wet, incredibly humid air. To make matters worse, the refrigerator didn’t work and was completely warm inside. The cleanliness—or total lack thereof—was shocking: Floors and Bedding: The floors and bedding were covered in unidentified stains. The floor was so filthy that I actually stepped into something brown and wet, which freaked me out so badly I screamed. Bathroom: The toilet seat was stained yellow. To top off the health hazards, the safety conditions were frightening. The side entrance of the building was left wide open, propped open with a brick. With a visible population of homeless individuals hanging around the property, leaving an exterior entry wide open made us feel completely unsafe and exposed. When we demanded a refund, the front desk offered to move us to another room. I said absolutely not—get me out of here! We have never had to abandon a hotel booking in our lives, but we had no choice. Despite being completely exhausted from our drive, we had to pack back up at 1:00 AM, leave, and find another hotel just to feel safe and clean

Stayed one night. Room had an unpleasant odor. Breakfast is in lobby. One actual table, one large bar height community table, two lobby seating areas. Actual tables would have been great. Fried eggs, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, bread, bagels, cereal, waffle makings, milk, juices, coffee, tea.

Breakfast was nothing to write home about but satisfied my needs. Coffee was sometimes crowded with only one dispensor available. Location was exactly where we needed although that main intersection was confusing at first. Parking was good and secure. Our room (319) was right next to what was probably the LOUDEST ice machine on the planet. Beds were comfortable but the TV was too small for being as far from the beds as it was. Also, we needed to move the closet out to gain access to an outlet.
