Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Lake Norman

Air conditioner was extremely loud and kicked on and off all night. Pool is not in service, this is not noted anywhere on the listing, as it was on some others.

My second stay here and they knocked it out of the park once again, will always try to stay here if I’m coming through town!

This hotel is very convenient and close to many amenities you may need on your stay. The staff was nice and respectful.

Great location! Nice room but the hotel was under renovation!! Couldn’t enjoy the lobby and facilities. Some noises transiting furnitures. I was not informed about the renovation.

Four days before my stay at this hotel, received an email from the "front desk" stating that they are having renovation at the hotel and asking if I like to cancel my reservation. So I replied back asking them couple questions since the original email did not go much in detail about what's happening. Couple days went by and silence. Decided to call the number mentioned in the signature of the email, no answer. Tried couple times later, again no answer. They never responded to my email. On the day of reservation, showed up at the hotel and it looked deserted. Parked and went to the front door and there was a sign posted on the door saying hotel is closed due to renovation. I was somewhat shocked and disappointed with them for they failed to respond to my email and no one answered my calls. I contacted hotels.com later that day and fortunately got my refund. Hotel staff, next time you guys need to do better job answering customer inquiries before you lose another customer!

Location was convenient for what I was in town for. Parking was coinvent to facility. From the moment, we came into hotel it was not what I expected a Marriott to be. The facility was older and not kept up to the standards of Marriott. We were provided a room of one bed, and I requested two beds. I was informed we had a pull out couch. The room was not cleaned when we were their. I requested additional linens. The walls had small holes. The balcony had not been cleaned and it seems like someone spilled a drink on outdoor furniture.

Clean and quiet, great room comfortable bed and great space . Need two more waffle makers since the single one is worked to death at breakfast time

Good location, quiet room great staff No hot water, like warm at best. Beds were very uncomfortable. Undergoing renovation so lots of smells and the amenities were all shut down

Place is under a major renovation. Not sure they would still conduct business in such conditions. Construction crew onsite with heavy equipment beeping early morning. Please refund the money.

Under renovation all amenities were lacking. The shower was stop-up all week long.

My third floor room had a sliding glass door out into a porch. It only had the standard lock which can easily be forced open. It did not feel safe for a woman traveling alone. The room had a wall tv mount partially installed and the shower fixture was poorly installed and loose, both trivial but not worthy of the Marriott brand. I love Marriott for the comfortable beds and this one was.

Toilet was broken in our room. They said they fixed it, they did not. Moved us rooms for our final night. TV barely worked. Tons of construction going on. Would not recommend.

They do have fresh Starbucks coffee in the lobby every day! The lobby is quaint and great for a social drink and appetizers, but its not a full service restaurant. Had the king room with loveseat. It was just perfect for a weeks stay. Bed was sooo soft and comfortable. Very clean, and the house cleaners did a nice job every day. Ice machine on the 3rd floor, fridge worked, and the AC worked fine with no rattling or excessive noise. Was 25 minutes to Charlotte Speedway. Was about 40 minutes to downtown "Uptown" Charlotte - IYKYK LOL The hotel is currently under renovations so there was some noise on the 3rd floor, but the first floor was all torn up. The laundry facility was not available and more than half the days of 7, the snack purchase area was closed. There is not hot tub, but the pool area was open and appeared clean although did not use this amenity. Will definitely stay here again!

Beware of the photos, the outside is not the same building and the rooms will look similar, but may not have all amenities listed.

No hot water for showering and no hot water for tea. Breakfast are was closed

The room was very dirty. Towels smelled like a wet dog and hair all over bathroom. Very disgusting

The hotel is under renovation. The room is outdated, and the bathroom, carpet, and other areas are stained and old. The cafeteria was closed, and there was a smell of weed in the hallway.

I enjoyed my stay. Staff was helpful and my room was clean.

The staff are very professional and accommodating. An egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with OJ and coffee was $20.00 plus tip! At The Hampton Innon my next night, breakfast was free and room was MUCH nicer and cleaner!!
