carpet was old and stained. it needs some TLC

The location and the bed were very comfortable. Upfront $100 damage fee hold seems excessive, but understandable.
-
Nothing Staff did not speak any English and was unable to answer any question I have about anything. It was completely impossible to communicate with the staff.

Location was great. Hallway stairs were dirty. Room was dirty and comforter was stained and had holes. After asking to re-clean the room and new comforter it was still dirty and same comforter.
-
Friendly staff and convenient code to get into the lobby after hours, excellent location! N/A

$100 deposit seems excessive.

The location is nice, quiet, close to the beach and walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The old world village was very nice too. The room was big although the bathroom was small, it was comfortable. Pretty good for the price considering. Firstly the staff, I think it’s family owned and they live there. I was seem by an asian woman and she did not speak English but with some patience she was helpful enough, until it came to the pet fee. There is a sign on the glass that shows the prices for different size dogs (very expensive btw compared to most hotels). She charged me $35 + tax for small dog( dont think a fee needs to be taxed but anyways) even though I pointed at medium dog so when my husband came in with the dog she kept saying “not small, pay, pay”. Not a biggie but also the sign says “price for 2 or more nights” and when we wanted to add a third night to our stay she wanted to charge and extra $20. I refused and showed her the sign. I dont know if she made the sign herself or if she wast understanding what it said. Overall the hotel could use better cleaning in common areas. The hallway carpet was filthy and very dusty. And maybe put a bell at the reception desk because no one is ever there

I enjoy being at Old World! I go many times per month, especially during the Oktoberfest season, and staying there is convenient. One thing I don't like is they charge $100 as a holding fee, on top of the cost of the room. Now this may be somewhat of a standard practice, but I have stayed at many other places that do not charge a holding fee, it just annoying. The manager/owner, I'm not sure what her position is, does not speak any English, so communication is mostly non-existent. She has a guy that comes out from a back room to help with translation but becomes more hostile than helpful! At one point this guy threatens to punch me out! All this came about because I did bring a little dog with me, and "they" wanted to charge me additional $40, I protested due to a sign they clearly have posted at the front desk saying "Small pets $35+tax for staying 2 nights or more" I stayed only ONE night, not 2 or more!!! They yelled and argued with me to pay for the dog, I finally did just to get the hello out of there! The place is nice and pretty clean, but I will NOT be staying there anymore, unless there is new manager/owner!!

The ad claimed parking was available however there is mail parking available. The staff did not speak. English could not communicate.

Room was ok. German restaurant next door . Peets and Starbucks coffee pods and organic Kirkland milks in fridge with danish Entry and walk to room was too dirty. Still waiting for deposit back! Language barrier, had to use Google translate to get it done.

Room was clean and comfortable. We could not beat the location. Right where we needed to be. Unfortunately this is a privately owned establishment. The communication was very hard as they did not speak clear English.

old world village is a taste of germany as it once was. the market is fabulous with international products, the restaurant (bierstube) and biergarten serve delicious german meals. the atmosphere very upbeat. n/a

Nothing!

I don't think they had a breakfast but the fridge was stocked with 2 free milks and 2 free pastries, plus a couple free bottles of water. All of this was a nice surprise. Some of the reviews made it sound like this place would be dirty, noisy and nasty but it wasn't. I liked the large fridge, comfortable bed and the location couldn't be better for an event at the Biergarten. I am not used to using electronic doors. I learned the hard way in the middle of the night that I have to press the bar at the bottom of the keypad first, then enter the code I was given to unlock the door afterhours. Not a huge inconvenience but a brief frustration.

Really loved staying here. You could tell they recently renovated. Beds were comfy, room was huge, and fridge was very large. The perfect place to stay during Oktoberfest. They also provide free waters, milk, danishes, and other little goodies as a bonus. They have synthetic wood flooring, which is perfect if you bring your dog. Will be returning next year! I did see a couple of hairs in the room, but didn't mind because everything else was so clean.

Beds weren’t very comfortable, no customer access to ice. Attendant had to get it for us and attendant was gone when we wanted more.
-
Not a place for a long term stay. Very basic everything. I got many bites from bedbugs. bring spray or something.
-
Clean and quiet I was stuck on the 2nd floor
