Comfort Inn & Suites Huntington Beach

Checking in was long, both workers at the front did not know what they were doing. They didnt know how to check people in. Building showed water damage on the ceiling and in the room itself, shower head looked like it was going to fall off the wall. And fire alarm was not working it normally will have a blinking green light to indicate it is recieving power, this one in my room did not. Wifi was not working and would not connect to my device, I checked in with no bug bites and left with several. Room key stopped working on day 2, and what concerns me is that they issued a new key to my husabnd whos name was not on the reservation, they asked for the name on the reservation he gave them mine(we do not share the same last name) and thats it. I would hate this situation to happen to someone trying to avoid a violet ex and they are just handing out keys to anyone. Freezer in mini fridge does not work. Over all the building needs an upgrade and saftey and privacy needs to be practiced better for your clints.

breakfast is not good

Upon checking in there was already guests waiting in the lobby unable to check in because they couldn’t use a card in their husband’s name which OK whatever I called Hotels.com and I got that resolved by adding my husband to my reservation. I still feel terrible for another lady who was not able to do so due to a language barrier. Once I get my room and open the door, instantly, you could smell mold or mildew. At first, I took into account that it’s an Ocean town and maybe that could be why however, I pulled out the sofa bed and underneath was covered in mold. I had three children with me so I go to the front desk and I’m told that they are already overbooked and do not have a room to put me in ( it’s 10pm at this point). The third-party found me another hotel and I was told that I would not be charged by both 3rd party and front desk. Vacation is over and I see a charge from them, I called to speak to the manager and could not believe the way I was treated. He would not refund me for the whole stay but he did refund me for partial. The part that got me is him saying that I got another room there, which I did not. And then telling me that it wasn’t mold and it was just canvas transfer.

I like Maria she was kind with us she keep clean and organized the buffet area.

Tried a different room, it was nice but I liked my other balcony more!

The location was perfect for us. Close to restaurants and only a short drive to the beach.

All in a great location. Free parking and in shade, had a refrigerator and a laundromat. Need a bit of a touch up, looks old a little upgrade will,do wonders

Beds are like a rock. The savior was the pillows…they were great. Nice location…right in the heart of HB shopping all over!

The rooms could be cleaner.

Rooms were old. Staff was not friendly. Beds were hard.

Breakfast could use some help to keep up with the amount of guest eating. And guess we’re continuously, waiting in line with large families to be fed and replenished food.

The room was very very clean. The staff was very cordial and polite. The breakfast was nice and there was ample parking.

The staff was unprofessional and inconsiderate to guests. Several observed concerns brought up to the front desk with the receptionist unwilling to accommodate or listen to each customer’s issue during their stay. I had several concerns during my stay as well. I reached out to leadership and his response was it based on solving any problems or coming to adequate and fair compromises. Terrible leadership example with definite continued no commitment to a pleasurable stay. Every thing when we were at the facility

Maria prepared/served breakfast, great job. The gal at the desk (Aeryl ?) was the rudest we have EVER encountered. Rooms now look like a ghetto with blackened tracks on the carpet, patched/cracked hollow-core interior doors, graffiti in the elevator, etc. We will never stay at this hotel again.

needed a quick room after a fiasco at Hotel 39, and the front desk was very sweet and helpful. did the job for a quick one night stay!
