Motel 6 Fountain Valley, CA - Huntington Beach Area

Honestly best stay! Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Motel 6. Staff was great and very welcoming.

Motel 6 was about what you expect. The bad: pretty run down rooms, stained towels, some hair on the linens, stained pillowcase, small amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling, really old floors, lots of trash in the parking lot, etc. The good: bathroom tub tile looked nice, wifi was fast and showers were really hot. Beats sleeping on the street. But spend $10 extra and go somewhere a tiny bit nicer. Anywhere else would do the trick. The Harbor Bay Inn is close and for $13 more, it's 10x nicer...

Location So close to freeway loud at night

Location. I asked for a ground floor room, due to knee surgery, with 2 beds. Upon arrival, the room had one bed. I spoke with the front desk, and they told me the did not have a ground floor room with 2 beds , However, the gave my son a room on the 2nd floor. But I was not comfortable being separated from my son. The ground floor I stayed in was right next to the dog area and the stench of urine and Pinesol was overwhelming.

Room was clean, but... What rubbed me the wrong way was the lack of notification on this site, only 1 car per room no exceptions!!! I wouldn't of got this motel if I knew that prior. Next there is no sound wall between the hotel and 405 freeway so you hear traffic all night long!!! Last vending machine is a rip off, use at your own risk! The front desk won't help at night time when it comes to the vending machine!

Awesome

The room was clean! The shower had great water pressure! The A/C worked perfectly! The TV worked and the bed was super comfortable! No bugs like the other motel 6 I stayed at, just clean. This is hands down the best motel 6. Everything was perfect! No complaints.

Perfect

It was an unexpected great find. Staying to close to the beach the prices were super high and i found this place. Great location. Great price. Its pretty clean but you can tell its older and been touched up. But cute and cozy. We loved it had a fridge and microwave Lots of options close by for food and groceries. and only about 15 to 20 mins from the beach. The staff were kind and helpful. We were really excited to see that pets are allowed so next rime we can bring our dog on our trip. Free parking was awesome.

Awesome time

The property was clean, a little loud by the freeway but you get used to it. Housekeeping was most impressive. The rooms were great.

stuff wasn’t maintained such as vending machines, ice machines, no shampoos, soap etc

There is a roller blading/ arcade right next door. Right next to the highway so you could hear all the cars at night.

nothing no amenities whatsoever..an old microwave & empty frig. No jug.. hard, uncomfortable bed…difficult TV(& no menu for channels) bathroom configuration..and a very unhelpful, snotty! reception girl..back right onto freeway as well!
