Super getaway in the mountains. The on-site restaurant was good, and Taco Tuesday with live music was excellent. The bartender was generous with the pours. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

our room could have had a nice comfortable chair inside, also bed was to big for the room

We only stayed for a night, but it was quiet and cozy.

Parents stayed here a couple times and loved it so much they made it a family weekend trip kind of deal. My family has stayed here twice with plans of already returning. Both stays were great! Staff are always kind and helpful. I think we stayed at cabin 64 (the four bedroom cottage) the 1st time. The only “bad” thing was the twin bunk had no rail on the top bunk so I put the mattress on the floor so no kids would fall off. And there’s a staircase leading to the bottom bedroom that my 2 year old nephew almost fell down as there’s no door on the top. Other than that we loved that room. We love all the activities/amenities the resort offers although pool is a little cold even on a hot day. The 2nd time we stayed at the Camp Tranquility room. Loved the size of the place and the quietness as it was located on the far end and outside of the property. We did not like that we had to drive through a gate every time to get around the resort. We couldn’t walk through the gate (we tried). Had to call family to come open the gate for us as you needed a code from one side of the gate or a car on the other side to open. The room also should have locks on top of doors. My 2 year old niece and nephew kept opening the doors to go outside. There’s a main road right in front of the house so we constantly had to watch the kids. This house also had no AC throughout so it was a little warm. Plenty of fans though, so bearable unless you’re cooking. Overall great place to stay, & we’ll be back! :D

Unfortunately, what looks and feels like a 5-star hotel is really a Motel 6 in disguise. Why? Because they failed to invest in quality acoustical separation between rooms. You can hear TV, music, talking, laughing, crying babies on either side. The wall construction is as cheaped-out as can be. People come to Idyllwild for peace and quiet so this is a fail. Beware.

Ok one problem. I was in unit 19. The shower is real old two handle shower valve. Which the water goes from hot to cold as it pleases. Also the shower head is so low I had to bend down to get my head wet. Beside the shower the place was amazing. Declan.

It’s a beautiful property with lots of different options of rooms. In the rooms 29 to 34 some of the wood slats were coming up so you had to be very careful walking other than that it was perfect.

I was referred to this property from a friend who has stayed here before. The website does not due this property justice. This is a fantastic property and grounds! I'm definitely looking forward to me return to better explore this property and Idyllwild as well. I stayed in Cabin 6 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The pool was my favorite place to unwind the last two trips. It’s clean, large and well maintained. Next time I want to add in pickleball, shooting some hoops and sitting by the fire pits. The food at The Peak restaurant was very good and the band was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

This is going to be my go to for Idyllwild. It’s the only place with a pool and other activities. Huge property just outside the village. Great restaurant and bar on site also. Management is very accommodating.
