Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis South by IHG

This hotel was great. Clean. Nice area. We’re were there for cheer competition so it was an easy drive to the convention center downtown.

Where do I even begin? I have filed a complaint with Holiday Inn Express over being locked out of my room for 6 hours and no one being able to get ahold of maintenance. The manager never bothered to show up or call after I waited until 2:30AM to get into my room where my pajamas and other items were. I was not able to go to sleep or rest and could not even take my contacts out. The front desk staff did everything they could to help, but there is only one staff person taking care of everything (checking in a large group, elevators breaking down, guest being locked out of her room). I filed a formal complaint, was told that my room would be comped and that the manager would reach out to me within 24 hours. I am now 5 days out from this experience, have received no refund, and no call from the manager. I emailed the manager directly yesterday and again received no response. I have given them sufficient time to make it right, and they have done nothing. Hence this review.

Nothing No one told you there was no tv service not even upon checking in. 269 per night was ridiculous for the stay.

Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The hotel is in very poor condition, dirty, and extremely noisy. The carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Don’t be fooled by the photos they do not reflect the actual condition of the property. If you arrive for breakfast after 7:30 a.m., there is almost nothing left. There was no juice available for the entire week because the machine was broken, and the waffle machine was also out of order the entire time. The room itself was unacceptable. There was about a half-inch gap between the door and the frame, so you could literally see outside the room. Housekeeping changed the towels but never made the beds. Paying $230 per night for this hotel is completely unacceptable. In our opinion, it’s not worth more than $120 per night, if that. The hotel is also located in a neglected area, far from everything, and not a place where you would feel comfortable walking around. We definitely will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

2. The pool was dirty. My 13 year old grandson wouldn’t use it. 3. The shower curtain allowed water to leak all over the floor no matter how hard I tried to keep it from getting the floor wet.

Everything was good to excellent!

The pet fee stated on Expedia is $50 per stay. Holiday Inn charged me $75 per night. Very disappointing that such a large discrepancy in pricing is listed and no knowledge of this until the hotel days later posted to my card. I will not be a return customer.

Breakfast The tv watching options. No Netflix or streaming and the pool was absolutely disgusting my daughter got a uti from it
