Hyatt Place Iowa City Downtown

Nice place and great location

Easy and friendly check-in and check-out. The pillows were no good, but the room was nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I think this hotel is a value for what you get in service and comfort. The basement parking is convenient and easy! Third time staying at the hotel and I will definitely stay at this location again.

The check in/front desk staff were great both days we were there. Also, the breakfast was good, and well stocked.

I really enjoyed our stay, the staff super friendly and just a short distance from the shops and restaurants downtown! Will be staying here again!

Location Comfortable bedding Car got towed parked where they had signs for the Hyatt but didn’t park by the purple door. Paid for parking with the hotel and gave them my car license info but it didn’t stop the car from being towed. they should take down the Hyatt signs to make the parking situation less confusing. They said this hasn’t happened before but I talked with someone else it happened to. Had to find my car (they had no idea who towed it) get to the car and pay the impound fee

Location , cleanliness I paid for parking but my car got towed overnight. The property had no idea which company towed ur the car was just missing. They did try to help me find it but I found it by my cars location . Apparently even though there are signs for Hyatt you have to park at the purple door and even though you give them your license plate the car can still get towed. Turned a reasonably priced trip into a nightmare . Had to pay for uber to the tow lot and tow fee plus of course the frustration in losing my car. Not worth it !!

The rooms are clean and the hotel is in the perfect location. Used the hotel parking and it was convenient to go to and from the hotel when we needed to go places we couldn’t walk to.

Upon arrival we were greeted, the staff took time to chat with us and explained the layout of the hotel in great detail. We also really enjoyed the aesthetics of the room itself and how clean it was. We found blood stains on one of the covers, we didn’t get a chance to bring it up to staff as we were out all night and actually had to head home for an emergency. But we know if we had brought it up, they would have been more than accommodating!

We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place. The staff were extremely attentive to our needs and we found communication to be efficient. The hotel is well located in downtown.

I thought the property was very nice. My only complaint was the parking situation. By the time I arrived there was no onsite parking. I had to park a couple of blocks away. It was raining that night so that kind of sucked. Also, I had to be out of that parking lot by 9:00 am or I would be charged an hourly rate.

Great stay as always/ comfy bed, linens, clean , clean bathroom - available parking underground , got a welcome cookie and Noelle, as usual was lovely and helpful !

Our stay was fine. Room spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. We appreciated the close proximity to restaurants and downtown.

That it was close to everything. Very clean. The entrance because of construction. The a/c in the room was out the first night and day they moved us to another room.
