Rodeway Inn Jersey City North

We were locked out of our room when we returned after a long day in the city. We requested to reactive our keycard, that did not work. The front desk person tried their master key and that did not work. We were standing outside for nearly an hour while he tried to figure it out. He continued to say that someone was in our room (which there was not) and tried to move us to another room while all of our things were inside. This was unacceptable. I asked for some sort of compensation and was ignored. The manager (while on the phone) said he would be at the property the next morning, but he never showed. After calling and leaving messages, they were never returned. This place, although the cheapest option, is AWFUL.

It was ok for the time spent there

This place is a very basic motel, but there is a Dunkin Donuts next door and a gas station very close. The staff here is very friendly and the location is perfect for taking the PATH train into the city. It's about a $10 Uber ride to the station and $3.00 to go anywhere from the World Trade Center all the way up to 33rd st in Manhattan. Parking is free, which is amazing, and they let us leave our car there the morning before check-in and the afternoon of check-out. This is definitely my go-to place for NYC trips. There's also a PATH station down by the river at Exchange Place with a very nice river view and shopping area for just a couple bucks more than an Uber to the Journal Square station. That one might only go to the World Trade Center, though. The area the the motel is in is quite congested and traffic is a little hard, but it's not much worse than anywhere else this close to the city, so it's something that you'd have to deal with anywhere. All-in-all, getting there is not far off the highway and a lot less turns and directions than most other areas.

Very old property, too much sound & noise. My room had very narrow passage (@10 Inch) to go for bathroom. Low illumination. Not value for money. It is not that mark in term of paid rent per day. Overpriced.

Everyone on the staff that we met was great, They were super friendly and helpful. The parking was easy and they even allowed us to park before checking and after checkout while went into the City. Traffic was difficult, but everywhere this close to the city is, so that wasn't a surprise, but everything about this hotel made up for it. And there was a Dunkin next door and a gas station a block down, so it was easy to get supplies. I will be back here for sure. Nothing against this particular hotel, but traffic is always jammed and congested when you're this close to the City. With this hotel being right next to the main road and a right turn to get out, this was as good as it gets for this type of trip.

Nearby to my apartment. It. didn’t provide any other facilities except stay. Further, there was an over charge of stay for 3 days of more than $300 by property manager apart from $246.45 of booking amount. Upon the update of booking price on booking.com, manager cancelled the card charges and took the higher price from me for 3 days stay as booked on booking.com. I requested you credit the excess charge to my card account on the receipt of this response

nothing really. dead roches in the fridge, it looks like some body died in the bed and in the bathroom. they ust cover a dirty mattress with clean sheets. Too expensive for that dirty room.
