This is a modern, bright, well maintained hotel with a very nice pool and a gigantic hot tub. The breakfast was one of the better ones I have had. The price for the stay was very reasonable and much cheaper than the hotels closer to Des Moines. A wonderful stay.

No power. No discounts

Hot tub and pool were the perfect temperatures. We didn't get to have breakfast due to a power outage at 8am, so that was sad, but all else was fine.

Friendly staffs. Check in and out easily. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. We only stay for one night after been exhausted with Iowa State Fair.

New, nice, clean hotel. Comfortable. Many restaurants near by. Staff were helpful.
-
The directions used on Expedia did not take me directly to the location but the staff were awesome and the room was clean and tidy

Hotel overall was clean and has plenty of parking.

Most of the property was clean, outside of our shower curtain having some spots that weren't ideal. Common areas were clean. Front desk staff were about 50/50 on friendliness/helpfulness - nobody was rude but not all seemed overly welcoming. Breakfast on our last day, there were lots of things empty when we arrived at breakfast 30 minutes before it closed, which was a bummer. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We really liked that the pool was open until midnight.

The stay was nice but the breakfast was very slow as far as waiting for food to be ready.

Clean room Friendly staff

Tv didn’t work for 2 nights and no one really helped. Unloading a truck during busy breakfast time so no food except cereal and no coffee because they were too busy unloading a truck instead of helping guests.

Hottub and pool were a hit with my kids tho!

I was impressed by how clean the hotel was. I would definitely stay here again.

We were close to the families we were up in Iowa to visit. Pretty spendy for rooms. I pre-booked 6+ weeks ahead and thought I was paying $150/night. It ended up being just under $200.00/night. Was it because it was a State Fair weekend? Was it because hotels can’t be up front about the various taxes? It’s not my job to figure that out. The hotel has nice amenities (pool & weight room & simple fare for breakfast) but really, I don’t feel our room was worth the amount we paid. Also, the staff appeared to be flustered at times. Not sure why, but some lacked the genuineness and warmth of a well-trained professional hospitality staff, which some areas of DSM are known for. That also is telling about the efficiency of a hotel. Chances are slim we will stay at this hotel again.

The property seemed brand new. Super spacious bathrooms and a really nice lobby. Also a great location with good restaurants nearby & a fun, brand new splash pads for our kids. We loved the farmers market directly behind the hotel as well! And the beds were extremely comfortable. Would absolutely stay again!

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Good breakfast buffet.

The individual who checked us in was very irritable and not pleased that I had booked the hotel through Expedia. That got the stay started on a sour note. The rest of the staff was very nice. We have stayed here before, right after it opened a couple of years ago. This is nothing the hotel staff itself has any control over; it just saddens me that the materials used today are not good. The faucet at the bathroom sink was loose. There was some water damage to the wall right outside the tub. The caulk around the tub was cracked which is going to cause them mold issues if it is not fixed. The stopper for the tub was on the side of the tub. The hotel is clean; the pool is large and so is the hot tub. The hotel itself is clean. We did not eat the breakfast this time so I cannot comment on that. I would still recommend this hotel to people as it is in a quite location but also close enough to everything it isn't much of a drive to get to what you need.

Very clean, great pillows, bed a little firm. Safe location. All new, nice furniture, bathroom, good air, black out blinds. Comfortable stay.

Our room smelt like wet dog so bad and my poor sister broke out from whatever dog had been in there before us and they didn’t not clean the room well. We didn’t have hardly and towels and when we asked for some we were treated like it was a big ask.
