Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Des Moines - Northwest by IHG

Carpets in the hallways of the floors need cleaning or a refresher. Smells like they have not been cleaned in a while. Hotel coffee area can use an update. Room / bathroom were good. Not too many amenities .staff was very nice and accomodating. Shuttle service is limited to the airport upon request. Could improve by providing services to attraction areas or downtown as there is nothing to do by the hotel. And could improve with better maintenance to the van itself. Could provide quick snacks to people that dont eat breakfast. The restaurant is next to the hotel sothey donate breakfast.no complimentary like other Holidays Inn.

I'd like to express my disappointment with the cafeteria service today. There was only one waitress serving more than 20 people. It took 15 minutes before she could get to me. I ordered a coffee to start, and after more than 10 minutes it never arrived. I got tired of waiting and left. I hope management adds more staff to improve the service. And by the way breakfast is not included.

Location was convenient for my stay Property is very dated

Very nice and clean. Loved the restaurant connected One elevator didn’t always work

This is a really nice property. And the attached restaurant is a nice plus!

Easily accessible from interstate. Clean and very friendly.

Check-in was fast even though we arrived very late. The room was very clean, spacious, and exactly like the description.

It was in a convenient location. My only complaint relates to very weak water pressure in the shower.

Dirty rug

Room was clean for the most part, but needing updating.

Room was pretty clean but the mattress on the fold out couch was gross and the blankets I pulled out of the closet smelled terrible. Needed new ones and they were understaffed so I had to walk down to the front desk to get fresh. Elevator is a little wonky. Door didn’t want to seem to close on one of them twice. Fire alarm went off at 9 am…cleaning lady said someone pulled it.

Pleasant

Room was a little loud, could hear all rooms around us (people using the toilet and flushing), doors shutting

The room allocated was dirty, the bed skirt was torn, the legs of the bed were partly supported by loose planks and the air conditioner control panel showed an error. Fortunately the front desk switched us to another room

The rooms are worn out. shower had mold in the corner's walls and ceiling had damage and patches, chairs were dirty and had damage and tears.

There were signs that said it had a breakfast buffet but they didn’t

Good breakfast

People was so nice

The shower was a little weak and bed was firm. Location is great but the front area parking and lobby entrance isn't easy to identify being right behind Bannigans.

Nice experience. Grateful for airport shuttle.
