Stoney Creek Hotel Des Moines - Johnston

We were not able to use pool or hot tub because they were closed for maintenance. The reason we booked at this hotel was because it had pool and hot tub. Also, still haven’t been reimbursed the $25 additional that they charge for incidentals that is suppose to be credited back to credit card.

It was a cozy atmosphere, beds were very comfortable. There was some construction but it was not loud just a little dusty near stairwells. Overall, would stay again. The hot tub was amaze!!!! I would have given a higher mark for cleanliness but the pool had hair and other debris that were unpleasant to swim in.

Our room which was located in the cottages was nice, broken toilet seat we had told front desk they said would get fixed but was not taken care of. We had all of our kids there as well that rented 4 other rooms they stayed in the hotel and all had bad experiences with mold, air conditioners leaking and bugs. Staff tried very hard to accommodate them with giving discounts and moving rooms but overall it was a rough couple days for them. Breakfast was decent but the juice was undrinkable as it tasted like nasty water. The pool was amazing.

Clean room. Nice property. The only thing that wasnt perfect was the water for the hot tub in the room. It took a while to fill up. But still, would definately stay again!!

Stayed 2 nights. First night asked for extra blanket. Sparky kid said all blankets were in the wash at 930pm. Next night asked again no because they were overbooked. Terrible excuse. Same smart mouth was a desk.

I liked the jacuzzi tub even though the handle leaked. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The look of the room was cool. I booked this several months in advance and they could have told me the pool and hot tub area was down. They had plenty of time to tell me so I could have booked somewhere else. It was my honeymoon and I wanted to have more fun. I paid a lot of money for this room and didn't get what I was promised during booking. The TV was really small.

Clean room, great staff, good breakfast choices! My girls (and their friends) and I stayed 2 nights. They are all 13-14 years old. This is our 2nd stay there in the last year, and we love it. Definitely recommend this place! Great location close to shopping, restaurants, gas stations, etc. This has become our go-to place to stay when we're in the area.

Room was clean, staff was friendly. Absolutely beautiful. The fridge didn't work the fireplace didn't work but other than that it was perfect! Will definitely go back

Fridge in room didn't work, and coffee wasn't restocked.

It was a nice quiet location They didn’t take the garbage out of the outside garage in the three days we were there. Also did not have enough towels to give us when asked.

Honestly for under 100$ I’ve never enjoyed a hotel so much
