Holua Resort

I booked in December for my trip in June only to receive a room way in the back with no views and that was not only outdated, but the kitchen had HUGE roaches when we arrived and a huge stain on the carpet in the dining area, the fridge looked terrible from the outside (so disgusting!), cracked tiles and the toilets were so slow to flush (not normal!)The phone in the master room did not ring and had so much static you could not hear. When I asked to be switched to another room they said there were none! All they were able to do was spray the roaches! SO disappointing! It felt discriminating. I had been looking forward to my vacation for so long and this was what I got. This is the third time staying at this resort and this was by far the worst. I felt like they didn’t care. They did nothing to accommodate my stay except spray the roaches. They offered to reimburse me for the days we didn’t stay if I chose to leave their property but who has time to look for another location when everything is planned? Had they told me sooner I was going to get this terrible location then I would’ve not stayed there. Beware if you stay here. Make sure they book you in an updated room!

The refrigerator froze our groceries even when adjusted to the highest temperature setting, and the ice maker didn’t work. The pools and hot tubs are small. Otherwise, the premises was okay.

The resort had everything we needed. Helpful staff.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were warm and professional, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided. It was an ideal base for resting and exploring the Big Island.

This villas are roomy and clean. Located well near shopping plazas and a really great snorkeling spot. They have full kitchen, washer, dryer so makes it convenient for travel since you can do your own laundry resulting in not needing to pack too heavy. Staffs are friendly and can give you rides from parking to the villa if you need help with luggage or groceries. Would stay here again if I come back to Kona.

Wonderful location and loved the pools. I didn’t like the layout of the rooms or the long distance to walk from the unit to the garage. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful place to stay nice and quiet and close to many activities in Kona! The only thing that would be nice is to rent a golf cart to help you get to and from the parking garage. However the walk was very nice and refreshing!

Villa was spacious but a little old. TV remote was hard to figure out. The grounds were nicely kept.

The staff keep bugging us to do a time share even when we clearly stated we didn't want to. Everytime we went up to the desk for more amenities they would give us a speach about the time share ultimately leaving a sour taste in our mouths. They also called in the middle of our trip to try and get us to do the time share after many time of us saying no.

The rooms were very spacious, but the furniture is kind of outdated in the TVs were really small, but it’s great if you have a big family or a lot of people traveling with you

Everything :) Might a little bit be inconvenient for travelers without a car. But still Uber works.

Nice and clean room, very comfortable stay here.

Everything was very nice this trip. Easy to check in and pools were working. Iwish the algae was cleaned up the ponds were disappointing.

Nice and spacious alternative to a hotel.

Washer/dryer in appartment and washing powder provided which was very helpful. Good access to pool and hot tub. No local walkable access to shops, bars or sandy beaches but this wasn’t too much of an issue for us as we had a car.

Spacious, super clean, having the washer and dryer, the big bathroom, and extra toilet, it was quiet and calming, the parking was just a few steps from my room. The jacuzzis didn’t run properly, but we didn’t mind, and I wasn’t sure about where to put my trash so I ended up walking a bit to throw it out.

We loved it and will stay here again . It’s our 2nd time here . In a great location love it .

Nice size rooms, full kitchen, 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, full table and livingroom, outside patio with table and chairs. Plenty of space to cable tv to relax after busy days at beach and sightseeing! Great value! Highly recommend!
