The Reach Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton

There was construction the whole time and it was so loud outside of our room we couldn’t watch tv or even talk to each other. Worst vacation ever. Never going back there again!!!

However, there is A LOT of noisy construction happening, elevator was broken down, and the fire alarm went off and everyone was unsure if they should evacuate or not. The staff was unsure as well which left us all concerned and confused. For the price, I wouldn’t come back. But definitely not the worst place I’ve stayed. The beach is a plus but that’s about it. Also, website says they have self laundry- they do not. And valet parking is $50 a day 🙄

Constant construction all day long, thin walls so you hear everything in the hotel on top of it all and only 1 working elevator. Room was nice but when we got there the ceiling fan didn't work, the ac couldn't keep up and our balcony door was seized shut. Maintenance was able to get the fan working and ac working just enough to keep the room cool but the thermostat would randomly stop calling for cooling. The balcony door took them a few attempts before it could move in any meaningful way and ultimately we just gave up on going on the balcony. They use rf remotes on the wall to control the fan and main lighting in the room, so our fan and light would randomly shut off throughout the day and night likely because it was picking up someone else's remote command. It could be 4am and the fan would shut off, the light would turn on and the thermostat would go stupid and heat up the room. The bathrooms and elevator also had no ventilation so were always hot inside them. Hotel bar and restaurant were way overpriced being about 50% higher than anywhere else for comparable items with the menu lacking any real food options outside snack food. The whole reason we booked this hotel was for the beachfront access but it sucked as well as it was muddy water filled with seaweed and a horrible smell.

The staff was wonderful. However, this place needs some physical help. Old tile in bathroom, ice maker broken, lots of noise, and always remember that Key West has the worse beaches. The water was dirty and smelly.

Lovely resort in a great location. Wonderful staff; everyone was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Food was good. Beautiful view from our balcony. Unfortunately, our shower leaked and many towels were used to mop up water. The towels, both bathroom and pool towels, need to be replaced. Staff were constantly working to keep everything running smoothly; such as keeping up with the frequent rain and puddles. Would stay here again.

In my opinion this location is the best in all of Key West. There is plenty of everything in the south side of the island. Unless you are going for the drunk college crown on the north side, stick to the south. The Reach has one of the few sand beaches directly on site. Also the pool is right there so you can enjoy both. Poolside bar and restaurant with service to both the pool and beach area can't be beat. There are some of the best local spots near the Reach that are literally steps away. Would highly recommend making sure you do not keep leftover food items laying around in your room. The rooms are very nice, updated, and clean, however, the building is overall on the older side (as most everything in Key West) and there is a gap with light showing in some of the doors to your room where roaches or ants can easily come through. I did not see any but I also live exceptionally cleanly.

The Reach in Key West provided a totally relaxing and enjoyable stay. TOTALLY STRESS FREE!
