Southernmost Beach Resort and Guesthouses

Very expensive property. Need investment in maintenance.

Had a small but annoying incident at check in. I made the reservation in my sisters name on Expedia [ and I had to pay in full which I found unusual, I made the payment] but she was unable to travel, The clerk would not check me in until Expedia said OK, luuckily we ironed it out

The room is advertised as having a balcony, this isnt true with these rooms it was the motel style walk way and only every third room had a set of chairs to sit on. the shower floor was failing and squishy kind of made you feel like you would fall through while showering. this property is large and the staff didn't notify us where breakfast was. The best part of the hotel was the bartenders at the pool area they were very professional and courteous. the pool and the drinks were great.

Nice views, pool was warm, not a lot of umbrellas for guests, great dj, the pool salad with burrata so good. Didn’t get to use the beach at all the seaweed smelled so awful. I wish I didn’t pay for ocean views due to the bad smelll.

Management was horrible! Wayyyy over priced and wayyy under delivered. Dirty rooms, ants, cracks in the door, false advertisement! Horrible rotten egg smell all over. Couldn’t use the beach! Don’t stay here!!! Complete rip off and they only wanted to reimburse about less than 10% for a $$$$ stay!!! BEWARE!!! Horrible!

We loved our stay here!! We could see the fireworks from the property! The pool was so clean and pretty!

I loved that Southernmost Resort had direct access to the beach, 3 pools, a spa. A concierge that could connect you to any tour or restaurant recommendation to anything on the Island. You never had to leave their space if you did not want. you could opt for a quiet stay to recharge and disconnect from the world or be involved in all the fun goings on each day at the resort or steps away from shops, museums, tours. It was a perfect week away for a solo traveler looking to find a bit of respite from the world while trying some new and exciting things like snorkeling the reef, and kayaking the mangroves. Seeing dolphins, tropical fish, manatees, turtles all within an arms reach........GLORIOUS!!

I liked the location and fireworks were great, didnt like water pressure, didnt like the noise the ac made, the fan was noisy and the light kept coming on, the price kept changing, drinks were expensive, ice machine didnt work.There was no beach access due to the smell of the rotten seaweed. Loved the hammock though..

The biggest downside during our stay was the seaweed situation. The smell was very strong and unpleasant, and the beach area was closed off, which was disappointing since the beach/location is a major reason people book this property. I understand seaweed can be seasonal and outside of the hotel’s control, but it definitely affected the experience. Overall, the service and cleanliness were positives, but the property felt a bit misleading compared with the photos online. It was not a bad stay, just not quite what we thought we were booking.

First time staying here…..good parts: food was incredible, as were the drinks. A little pricey, but very well made. Shore pool (biggest pool) was a great atmosphere. Cons: housekeeping missed multiple days and had to schedule a specific time for cleaning (which was still missed), front desk not helpful at all, charged a $65 per night amenity fee but the main amenity (private beach) was destroyed with horribly smelling rotten sargassum. Nothing noted on the resort site, nothing mentioned by the staff, beach completely unusable and the stench permeated into the beach cafe. Yes it’s a naturally occurring thing, but for the first 3 days it was piled up high on the beach before finally being removed. For a pricey resort built around its private beach, might be a good idea to let customers know the main selling point can’t be used. For a first Key West trip, we made the most of it but there is no chance we stay at this resort when we decide to return for vacation.

Clean rooms. Do not come for the beach as there is none. Come for the Key West atmosphere.

Love this resort and can’t wait to return

This is our second year back at the southernmost. The first year, the room was a lot bigger, and looked a little more updated. However, this time we were on the side by the lobby, which are older rooms it appears. The room was pretty small, but was enough for just us 2. However, ANTS! During our 3rd night out of 7, we noticed a TON of small sugar ants all over the bathroom, and front door walls. They came and sprayed twice, however did not solve the issue. Was very annoying to have yo deal with the ants, also paid $25 for a room upgrade just to be put in and older room. All in all, we love the resort just this time, wasn't as good as the last.

Got a wonderful upgrade. Staff very friendly and helpful.

They always reached out from the front desk ( not a virtual assistant) to make sure you had all that you needed and to let you know about fun events they were having that day , thank you Frank ,Marilyn , Meghan , Oriana 🤗 Their beach restaurant serves all day and we enjoyed every meal They automatically service your room every day , you don’t have to ask We will be back

I had a beautiful ocean view room which seemed like it was brand new. The Cafe has great food and the pool area and bar are a great place to hang out all day. The only challenge was the unusual amount of seaweed and the beach was closed. I have been to this resort many times and it doesn’t disappoint. Very close to Duval Street but far enough away to be quiet.
