Very nice place to stay with plenty of things to do without having to leave the resort.

Property was great very suitable for kids. It’s very big but the good thing about it. You’re able to rent a golf cart and just drive all around the property so much things to do. I had a great time. My only issue was they make you pay for flotation devices?

Orange Lake Resort was amazing. The rooms are like apartments. Spacious and they have everything you need to make you comfortable. I was amazed and so happy I took my family here.

The property was nice and has a lot of things to do. The only reason why I would say my stay wasn’t great was due to the fact we were thrown into a sales pitch we didn’t want. When we checked in, the “tour” was not optional, they asked when we wanted to book it. Then they took the no show fee from my card before the “tour” was even scheduled. Come to find out, it’s a timeshare presentation and they are very pushy and clearly the timeshare staff and front desk staff are not on the same page. The timeshare staff were pleasant at first, then once they knew we had no interest in a timeshare even from the beginning. They were incredibly rude. My fiancé and I went to have a nice birthday vacation, and it ended sour. But the property was nice.

Everything was perfect

We have been staying here for about 10 years now and I love the updates and new decor in some of the units however we’d like to see a more kid friendly splash pad or pool area for kids. Slides at the pool were closed down or inoperable at others. We love that they offer golf cart rentals now and the bowling area in the arcade was a great addition.

The biggest downside was the timeshare pressure. The way they try to push you into attending a timeshare tour felt very pushy and honestly a little slimy. I’m on vacation to relax, not to be hounded about sitting through a sales presentation for hours. The resort itself was nice, but the timeshare antics really took away from the experience. Because of that, I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Didn’t have to leave property

This is a long standing timeshare property yet they still have issues. The property is great, small items are a problem, check in process for us and another guest was a disaster but if you’re willing to get beyond this it’s a great vacation location

Hi

The door to my patio fell over overnight due to a storm and I was told to just not use that door.

The property is HUGE! Lots to do, many walking trails and the lazy river was such a hit with the kids. There are amenities where you need to pay extra, $20 for a day wristband and $7 for a donut float (for the river). We had an incident where a deposit was charged twice but the staff was helpful in refunding the discrepancy, just keep checking your account in case it may occur to you. The room itself was SO spacious. LOVED IT!!! It was clean, there were dishes, washer and dryer IN THE ROOM, and even soap. The patio was surrounded with mesh so NO BUGS. We stayed in a two bed/two bath apt. It was great. The only thing I did not like and I addressed it, was how many spiders and nests where in the top floor. We stayed in the 6th floor (the highest in that building) and there were sooooo many spiders, hanging, nesting, crawling… it was very bad. We constantly had to watch our heads because they would web down and it was just icky. We stayed 7 days and nothing was done about it during our stay. Overall, it was good. Will recommend.

Then they have a slide and other activities but you also

Let me start by saying we LOVE this property. We are frequent vacationers to Orange Lake and lways stay in a 2 bedroom villa because of the kids. We were assigned a room on the 2nd floor, but since I had some recent medical issues, we needed a first floor unit. Gratefully, the front desk was able to accommodate this request. Unfortunately, I think we got one of the rooms that is hopefully slated for a refresh. If not, it definitely needs to be. Broken light switches, wobbly stove with a broken broiler drawer, missing shelf piece in the refrigerator door, kitchen cabinet trim/door only partially attached. We know this isn't their norm and we aren't difficult customers, so we didn't mention anything. Hopefully we are right and this room will be brought up to the resort standards. We will certainly be back again soon.
