Nice and friendly.

Excellent stay in all aspects - thanks.

Room was mostly clean, had 2 significant stains on the carpet. The TV channels were limited on connectivity which was annoying. WiFi was fine. Shower was good, pressure was good. Curtain was too high so water leaked onto the floor. Temperature would not adjust very well. The beds were lumpy (could tell where other guests have slept with divots in the bed). Pillows were horrible. The girls checking us in and out were friendly and helpful, but the girl working the nights we were there was not at all friendly and barely helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to the highway and things we were there to see otherwise. Parking was ample also.

room on the side facing highway, noise all night long. hard to get any sleep

I found this hotel room to be larger and more comfortably designed than many hotels of a higher star ranking. I loved that the sink/vanity was not in the bathroom. Makes it so easy so much easier for two people to stay in the room and get ready. The breakfast was so well priced for a budget. And had most of your necessities. We were able to grab a quick breakfast. And still get to our tour on time. It was a quick easy drive to UT. Not far from restaurants, gas stations, and other hotels as well. Also, we were at the hotel less than a day with plenty of opportunities to interact with the staff. Staff was incredibly helpful. Here are two examples of the great service . My son left his phone charger at home and mine but not work as I have an older phone. I went to the front desk that night and asked if they might have any chargers that we could use. We looked at chargers that people had left and we found one. Which we did return in the morning, but it was very helpful. My son left his book there. When we came back to look for it, they allowed to go back in the room. The book was later found and hotel communicated with me and is mailing it to us. We would definitely stay here again.

Hence, there was no additional prep made for these rooms. The Knoxville Holiday Inn, we were dismayed to discover, had closed their pool due to a 'filter breakdown'. Air conditioner performance was marginal and the HVAC introduced the odor of some type of disinfectant. The TV provided DirectTV, however the remote device had few control buttons so as to preclude rapid access to the program guide and channel surfing. Very tedious, and you will hate that. This particular Holiday Inn, we were soon to discover upon returning from dinner, is located on a street frequented at night by drug addicts who were milling about or passed out at various locations between the interstate and the hotel front entrance. Also, contrary to what was advertised, this hotel is NOT conveniently located near the Knoxville Market Square. Suffice it to say that after staying at this H.I., and the also the subsequent H.I. in Charlottesville, VA (i.e. where the swimming pool was also down for maintenance, incidentally(!)), I will NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY INN STAY EVER AGAIN. They are simply not up to par with even your basic Hampton Inn.

Great stay and staff

Helpful staff Conveniently located
-
The property is beautiful!
-
Yes I checked out
-
The pool was not operational. That was as one of the main reasons I booked this location was to use the pool.
-
The hotel itself was great. Right past the hotel seemed to be a large homeless presence. Many of them had dogs. The street was full of trash.
-
The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was cold.
-
Great location, clean roof over your head. Only thing is they charge for breakie now; it’s always been free in the past….
-
Staff was friendly, rooms clean, breakfast was good and reasonably priced
-
The room we stayed in had “Queen size” beds. I have a queen size bed and the bed in the room was smaller than my mattress and was closet to a full size.
-
Was a great place to stay. Beds were comfy. The breakfast buffet you had to pay for. The only thing I did not care for was the sink and mirror were in the entry way. For that reason, we probably would not stay there again.

Close proximity to restaurants Their “energy savings” AC for the rooms is a joke. Can’t lower below 68 degrees, they turn off if you leave the room! The come on just long enough to cool it, and shut off for 20 minutes, room heat back up. Dumbest idea ever. I was sweating while trying to sleep. Should have stayed at the motel 6 next door, AC probably stays on duration you turn it to!
