Best Western Plus La Mesa San Diego

I was disappointed in a couple of minor changes - staff used to offer us water for the room. Now they charge $2 per bottle. The front desk staff seemed stressed.

This is an old property. The rooms were clean and there was a Keurig style coffee pot, which was great. The air conditioner was loud and right next to the bed. I turned it off to get some sleep, but the temperature in the room climbed to 80 degrees and I had to turn it back on. Also, the side of the hotel our room was on fronts interstate 8. It was like being right next to the Indy 500. Very noisy! This would be an ok place to stay if you got a room in the back of the hotel away from the freeway.

Room was clean. The beds were comfortable. But the whole 2nd floor and our rooms had a terrible chemical smell over the 2 nights we stayed there. We also had ants in the bathroom, not that many but we noticed. The breakfast was great.

Room was clean, breakfast was good, hot tub was working though very loud, pool was chilly. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again if I were in the area

Clean, quiet, cool room. Great communicative staff. Lots of amenities. Good location.

Room was clean and had great amenities. Free breakfast was delicious. The location was great for what we had to attend. Only issue was that it was a little too expensive because of other events going around town.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was excellent! Very engaged and friendly! Knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was good, lots of options.

Room was clean however the carpet throughout the property, room, hall, elevator, etc. needs replacement. Old and dirty.

Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible. Extremely slow if you can get it at all.

It was clean and staff we nice . Breakfast was good. The mattresses need to be replaced. They were so soft that you sank. Had to lay diagonal to get comfortable. Two bed but both mattress were worn out. Otherwise it was okay. There should be an instruction sheet for the room. The phone didn't seem to work. The air conditioner didn't have instructions either.

The breakfast area was nice and clean and food was not bad. Would have liked some fresh fruit options but the yogurt was nice. Lobby was small and wasn’t great to visit or hangout in while meeting friends or just hanging out.

Close to Venue Garbage on the floor nothing

Slightly outdated but overall very nice and clean. Amenities were nice.

I would stay here again.
