Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lafayette South

Location great, close to venue. Cleanliness, staff, the bed and pillows were great, room spacious, free shampoo/conditioner & body gel..prefer Dove products but appreciated. Allowed us to check-in earlier due to room being ready & available. Provided coffee in the lobby, great. Again not enough blind/curtain to completely darken the room, could not sleep in due to light coming in thru the side/bottom of the window blinds.

The location was central to most of the things we needed in town. We were attending an event at the Cajundome and this was one of the few locations that were within 2 miles of the stadium. The front desk staff were all very friendly! My highest judgment on a hotel is based on cleanliness. This one really dropped the ball. The bathroom had TONS of black hairs. It was disgusting. I had to request someone to come re clean the bathroom. One of the front desk came up and did it herself which I appreciated. I still felt uneasy about the whole room after seeing the bathroom though.

Location. Driving to parking lot was a substantial dip.

The staff was soooooo nice. Made sure everything was taking care of. The next room noise they played music all night and was loud at 3am ‼️ I end up calling the front desk and they took care of it right away.

Tropical Storm Arthur passed through the area on the day of my arrival. Cancelled due to flood warnings. Concerned about driving with 10-20 inches rain predicted. Hotel would not work with me on a credit for a future stay or a partial refund.

The property was nice. But they were almost an hour late in checking us in. They couldn’t give us a time when we got there. We arrived after check in time and couldn’t accommodate us. My daughter couldn’t take the smell and didn’t stay with us. She did find another hotel. No sure if the smell was disinfectant or a defuser. It gave her a headache.

This property is definitely older the elevator is tiny and dirty, there was only the one so only one family could use it at a time. It creaked and you constantly thought you were going to fall. We tried to eat breakfast but the kitchen staff kicked everyone out at 9:33 am stating the kitchen closed at 9:30 I was mid way cooking my waffle and she threw it away. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. The room was nice and clean.

I didn’t have a good experience because after I checked in there was a bad weather and lightning struck the power poll, so there was no generator and no power for approximately 2 hours. I didn’t like the breakfast at all and chose this hotel for that particular reason. The room was very nice and clean and updated, the lady at the check in was very nice and understanding.

We love our home away from home hotel. Whether you and your spouse take a weekend or you go with your family, it's a nice getaway without it costing you a fortune. It's akways clean, the suites are very nice, friendly staff, the breakfast is really good and the pool is great ! We always leave happy. We've been going for many years and never disappointed.

It was a good location. There was a lot mold and water damage around the window frame. The window frame was actually pealing apart. It was so gross! We also lost power and I know that was not the fault of the hotel, but when we wanted to check out, we were DENIED a refund! So we found something to do for hours until the power came back on. I get it was not the hotels fault that the power went out, but not giving a refund when the power was out for hours is insane!

Great staff. Good breakfast for adults and kids.

One of the nest hotels to stay in around the area. Hands down the nicest staff I’ve ever come across in a hotel.
