Mouton Plantation

The best experience of our trip to Louisiana. The staff is very friendly, the property was beautiful and the breakfast was the best meal we had on our week long trip. Natalie was the best host and cook; Would definitely stay here again.

Our cottage was nice and clean and quite.

We stayed in the Victorian room which was spacious and well equipped.

The only issue we had was our shower was hand held as the larger head could not be accessed .

Hayden made us feel so welcome on checking in. Her recommendations for a place to eat and a local bar were perfect for us. Great sized room. Breakfast was lovely and our host even offered bug spray for our trip on the lake. N/A

Need of some basic repairs, no access to house after 5pm, smelled like stale animal pee ( pet friendly room)

My husband and I stayed at Mouton Maison for two nights in the Fleur de Lis room located in an outer building. Check in was easy. The staff were very friendly. Everyone eats together at a long table for breakfast. It’s nice to chat with people from other places. The room could have been a bit cleaner and better pillows would be welcomed as well as some updating. I was hoping for some fruit with breakfast but there was none. We wanted to sit in the Main House living room but were told that people with rooms in the outer buildings didn’t have access after 6pm. We arrived with friends and wanted a place to hang out in so this was disappointing. Unfortunately it rained during our visit but the outdoor space looked like a nice place to gather in good weather.

The character of the property was excellent although you park at the rear and enter from the rear so you don’t see the full glory of the plantation house. Lovely courtyard area. A traditionalBreakfast of fresh fruit eggs, biscuit and meat gravy. Vegetarian option just one biscuit one egg. Good quality hairdryer and iron there is also a fridge and microwave.

I’ll stay here again.

This is such an authentic experience with the staff making it feel so homey. The breakfast that is included is rather average. We truly enjoyed staying there. The international festival is delightful.

Breakfast was lovely, our Kids loved the blueberry pancakes. Very special and beautiful place.
