I like how old and beautiful the house was. Do not care for the traffic noise but still a great place to get away with your family and couples.

Comfy bed, good food, very nice guy named Todd took care of us, enjoyed the history of the place

Todd was great; he was always available and helpful. Nothing

The reason we upgraded to the suite (for more money) was for the larger bathroom. We were going to an event and needed the space to get ready. We were assured that the suite had the most room/largest bathroom. It may have been, but of the four bulbs in the bathroom, one was burned out and the three others were all different colors and wattages. Not idea when you are trying to do makeup for an event. The location of the B&B on the corner of a busy intersection lends itself to a LOT of road noise. We thought when we moved from the front room to the suite in the back it would be better, but the house sits on a corner, so the room on the roadside was still very loud. This is not the fault of the owner, but something to note if you are a light sleeper or have a baby with you.

Location made it easy to get around the area. Also, the fruit served for breakfast (grapes and cut up strawberries) was tasty. The temperature in our room was 40 degrees when we arrived in the afternoon (the thermostat hadn’t been adjusted for the unusually cold weather in anticipation of our visit). It was 46 when we woke up the next day. Most mornings the breakfast area was very cold. Our first breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and toast served on a cold plate. The breakfast fare was quite beneath what our usual experience is with B&B’s. We had to request butter daily for toast that was provided. The last two days it was in a bowl completely melted.

Nice outdoor area Temperature settings did not work. We froze for 3 nights. Controls in hallway, and furnace wouldn’t shut off

The B & B was awesome! It's close to everything that we wanted to see and do! It was a wonderful experience and getaway for my husband and me. We will definitely be back and recommend it to people we know. Only issue: We stayed in the Lafayette room...there is an outlet in there that does not work so we weren't able to plug-in our cell phones to charge them. We had to charge them in the bathroom that is located down the hall instead of our room.

Lovely old house with lots of history. Very warm welcome and information about the area. Room was quite small but that is to be expected in an old property.

We were offered a suite for the price of a room for 3. Very nice!

I love the home like feel of the environment, the respect, and the quiet area. It was a very beautiful area. I can't say I didn't like anything. Only thing that I would say about the louisiana room was the bathroom door lock was alittle hard to lock.

Very cool property in a restored old building. attentive and helpful staff, nice breakfast. We were in the extension and the heater was either on or off, so we had to turn it off at night. Not a big issue and was reported to staff.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved this for a group of people traveling together. Everything is a bit dated including the shower head in our room which looked like something I had used 20 years ago. Heater in the room was controlled by central thermostat, but was able to shut the vents and or turn it off. Breakfast was adequate, but not amazing - however I was very appreciative of it.

The location is great as there are several ways to get right into Lafayette and is only 5 minutes or so to get to Vermillionville and later to the interstate when leaving. The rooms were clean and though we didn't look into the other rooms, from online, they're all different. I love that sort of thing and T'Frere's definitely delivers. There were just a few things, some which would be difficult to adjust. Non-locking doors was our top issue (and then the road noise). We travel to the US with passports as our main concern being lost, and then everything else. That was probably our biggest issue (the rest being suggestions or such). Foreign travellers just aren't used to people leaving doors unlocked. Next top issue would be that the road sounds are loud, even to 2 or 3 in the morning. Our room was on a side-street which helped, but not a lot, as everyone seems to enjoy loud, thumping engines these days (not the owner's fault for the drivers!). You'd really have to spend a fortune on double pained glass to dampen that, so not really an easy option. I'd recommend ear plugs the moment you go to bed. On suggestions or things to note, the bathroom could use non-slip mats and floor mats, and maybe steps, and I'm actually not knocking it. It's just a suggestion because it's a deep (and lovely) claw foot bathtub, and some might find it really difficult to get into and out of and might slip, we're fit enough and still did (though I'd still love to have that tub at home). Simple extras, really. Finally, a choice for breakfast would be a nice addition. The first morning we had French toast with banana slices and bacon, but one of us shies away from sugar (we didn't say anything and I'm sure it would have been adjusted), so didn't really fancy that. The next day eggs were being cooked but we had to leave before breakfast, unfortunately. It all smelled great. So, it's not a slight, just suggesting that a couple of choices would have made the experience a little better and provided some movement if someone doesn't really like one thing or another.

The traffic noise made it impossible to sleep. The entire rest of the location and people was great. Unfortunately, we left early because we were not able to sleep.

Place needs a lot of work.
