14 West Hotel

Negative: The place is run down, needs upkeep asap. The building is very old and needs to be upgraded, room was not very clean, and smelled musty, AC unit is extremely loud. Pretty much everything is way outdated and needs TLC. Gate to the property are almost falling, and to some point can be dangerous, the mirror in our room almost fell in my husbands foot when he was passing by to the restroom (he didn’t even touch it), one of the screws was super loose and not sturdy at all. Staff was nice and friendly, the place has potential, but needs work, a lot of work.

Great location and friendly staff. Really close to several food spots, shopping and the main beach. Also, free trolly available on the next block. Pool was a great perk and kids absolutely loved it.

It was an amazing stay. Very cute boutique hotel. Very clean, pool was beautiful, very nice staff and very helpful. Did a stay cation over the 4th. Will be back!

Property and rooms need major renovations. Very loud outside with guests and staff. For $450 a night this place is a joke

The staff was amazing I paidfor parking and when there wasn't any they would have personally moved their vehicle but ended up letting me park in from that was for registration only. Thanks you

STAY AWAY!!! This hotel was SO disgusting. Dirty old carpets, and the pictures were of a different building and the real building was rotting, falling apart, and so gross. We had to go to 3 different rooms and all of them were disgusting. Even the suite was terrible. Also the pool… was salty, slimy, and sandy. NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!

The hotel was quiet and nice. Staff was attentive. Parking was good right off street. The beach was right across the street, great to just walk and not have to struggle with parking. Of course hotel beds aren’t the greatest but would definitely stay here again

The biggest issue I had was that the windows all open into the courtyard. Therefore, it’s impossible to open the curtains and get natural light while in the room unless you want to be seen by all other guests. I highly recommend that they invest in dark tinted windows and sheers because it feels very claustrophobic. Great location. Easy access to beach and Laguna hang out spots

Easy check in. Very nice room. Liked the fireplace and kitchenette with coffee maker. Loved parking for reasonable fee. Would stay here again for sure

Close to beach Room had non working a/c but didn't tell us . Tried to give us a fan . Ended up with an upgrade which was nice but then had to move all out stuff to a different building

Nice location close to the beach The AC was not working in the room. It was hotter in the room than it was outside. They supplied me with a fan. They did not have a room to change me out into. I came in on a motorcycle, parked in a spot that no cars could even park in but they charge me $39 for parking but they waive the parking fee because I didn’t have air-conditioning. Being on a motorcycle and having to ride back to Las Vegas the next day and not being able to sleep comfortably, it was not fun.

The location I checked into the hotel. It was clear that it had a significant amount of deferred maintenance. The metal handrails were a whole rusted metal. There were so many coats of paint that you couldn’t shut any of the doors. None of the electronic keys worked for any doors. They were all replaced with manual keys. And the air-conditioning did not work and it was hot and sweaty and we were there for a wedding. They couldn’t fix anything and they couldn’t take care of anything. We finally had to get a different room, but we were lied to repeatedly about when we could move to the other room. We had wedding activities to go to and they completely destroyed 24 hours of the trip. Don’t ever stay here this place is horrible. I was told they were going to give me a refund and I have not had any refund. I haven’t had any phone calls and I’m sick of dealing with these people. And the breakfast is a joke.

My stay consisted of screaming and crying children of all ages every day and through the night. Loud music from others all day and sloppy and dirty surroundings outside. I will never go back.
