Best Western Inn & Suites - Lake Charles

The room was clean. The staff was kind and helpful. Only two things I was upset about was the refrigerator not working- at all. The pool was a , cloudy, murky color, you could not see the bottom of the pool- it was one of the reasons I booked so I was bummed out to not get in it.

The staff workers were nice and helpful. The breakfast was fair. Air conditioning acceptable. The room overall needs to be maintained better. My youngest kids are too small for showers and the handle to change the setting was broken. I had to run the shower for about 20 minutes to get water in the tub!! problem! The towels were old and worn. I went out to purchase my own. I also cleaned as I normally do because the smell isn’t horrible but it’s not pleasant.

No good place for family

A lot of stuff was already broken once we arrived. It was an okay stay, may just go somewhere else next time!

I truly enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect. It was close to the Mall and the Civic Center. I only stayed one night but the staff really made an impression on me. The front desk clerk, Chautona McZeal was Awesome! She was very kind and helpful. You would never guess that it was her 1st day on the job. My room was prepared by Mattie and she did a great job. She even met me in the parking lot to make sure that everything was OK with the room. Excellent Customer Service!

Room staff very attentive. Office staff were not. Tried to charge extra for early check in. Wi-Fi did not work entire stay. Staff made excuses about problem. Waffle maker was aweful.

Strong smell of mildew, window was shattered, staff seen they didn’t care

Room was clean, but there was no water pressure and the tub was very slippery. Breakfast was well stocked, but was not cleaned very well during serving times. I watched the attendant walk by trash left on the counter and wipe crumbs on the floor. During our 2 day stay, luggage was left by the front door and then eventually moved to the curb by the street, which was a little creepy. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Just wish the water pressure was better, especially after a long day in the heat.

Location Def expected more for the price . I had to personally clean the pool for the kids to swim.

The air worked good. The pictures online were not accurate. The smoke detector did not have a battery in it, the air conditioner was old and clearly had mold, the bedding had tears in it, the coffee tasted like water, And the parking lot barely had any spots for customers because of the trucks and trailers. The security card use for the outside doors was always broken, and the doors were propped constantly.

The ease of finding the property was great. The ease of finding the hotel The air condition in the room worked amazing. They have parking near a door at the elevator. There are flying bugs all over while trying to unload. The outside key reader is hit or miss if it works. The air was on but it remained muggy, it is a odd smell in the room, don’t stink just odd, the elevator is slow and lights barely work if they work, we had 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth, and 1 towel in a double queen room. The lamp shade looks dingy, from the online pictures to actual facility the place just looks run down or not kept up. Was dis appointed to say the least.

The pictures of the hotel and amenities are AI generated so don't base your stay on the photos and make sure you look at the information below where you book your room because on top of the price of the room you have a deposit you have to pay before you can check in and you should pay that in cash if you want it back anytime soon I mean it only takes them a min. to pull it off your card
