Checked in at front desk. Had trouble understanding staff. Went to our room. Smelled horrible like mildew/mold and cigarettes. A/C wasn’t working properly as it was muggy in the room. Went to front desk to request a different room. They had no other rooms. Choose to leave and go to a different hotel. Clerk would not provide a refund.

Older outdated hotel that is currently under renovation. The entire third floor is shut down due to being renovated. Besides that, everything else was great. Service and check-in was quick and easy, access to fresh coffee 24 hours a day and breakfast was pretty good.

We were attending a wedding in Lake Charles and the Holiday Inn Express worked out just fine for our trip. Breakfast was so so but certainly adequate for a hotel breakfast. Would have like some fresh fruit.

Location It is under a much needed renovation. Rooms were clean but bathroom was outdated and stained.

The location was good. Beds were very comfortable. As soon as i walked in the room, it smled really bad. It has an old wood/ almost mildew smell. The vents in the ac were filthy and dirty.

Currently being remodeled, stayed on 1st floor, very old and outdated. Mattress is not that great. Room smelled like old folk home.
