This is a hotel I always come back to

I called ahead to let them know. I was going to have a late check-in after hours and they said that’s fine. There’s somebody on the property that will check me in. I get there grab the phone on the wall call and talk to somebody at a call center who says they’re gonna have somebody come down and check me in. About 1520 minutes goes by I call back get a different person and I’m told the same thing once again. About another 20 minutes goes by and I make a call back and get a different person and I just keep repeating the same process for a minimum two hours. I got there around 1:40 AM and I did not finally get a room until 4 AM. Finally get in get a room and the shower is leaking, the headboard is wooden and all scraped and scratched up, the amenities are all old outdated and rundown. The room was clean that’s about the only bonus. I had to be gone by 8:30 AM so pretty much ruined my weekend with no sleep.

The overall appearance of the building is old and not well taken care of. The staff was a plus for the most part they were friendly .

The young lady at the front desk at check in and check out the next morning was stellar. The bedding was clean and crisp. I see the staff is trying hard but when the bones are old and the building is done no matter how hard they try it’s not a wining game.

I loved the staff when we stayed here. Everyone was so nice and trying to make it work. We changed rooms about 16 times due to ac going out, a fire alarm going off, flooding from upstairs, bad smell in some rooms with no ac going. The fridge going out, shower head breaking in another. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Which I found out is on its way. You could say everything is very well used but despite all the problems the staff all of them were SO sweet and understanding and making it work. I would stay here again because the staff just makes it better,
