The TV didn't have local channel we couldn't change the one channel it had

We just stopped for a late arrival early departure rest stop. The guy who checked us in was friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable. The room would benefit from a bed side lamp but both night stands had an assortment of usb charging connections. We didn’t do anything besides a 5-hour sleep.

Too sketchy looking to even check in. Decided we'd rather sleep in the car
-
No one cleaned the room and didn't get clean towels. Bed wasn't clean

There was some floor damage near the bathroom area. If not addressed soon, I could see someone getting hurt

I couldn’t even check in. They charged me an extra $100 when I got to the desk.

We didn’t like anything about stay We didn’t like anything about the same. Would not recommend this place. They put us in one room that was filthy so they moved us and the other room was pretty much the same. All other hotels were booked so we decided we didn’t have a choice to stay. All night people walking around drinking up stairs had parties throwing stuff around you could hear. People were knocking on our door at 2 in the morning. This went on all night. Told the front desk about it and they said to talk to booking.com so they could give a refund or some money back then get a email we stole one of their brand new pillows which we never would have did anything like that. They made up an excuse. Beware staying at this place. Wished I woulda saw reviews before staying. Called them about the pillow situation that we didn’t talk it and they hung up on me

The location was really very convenient because it was close to town but it was also close to a couple of restaurants and easy access from the interstate. I like the idea that they put me in a first floor room because it just saved hauling stuff up the stairs. The place is undergoing a lot of construction. I understand that however they also have done things quite sloppily. For example there's a broken down car up on blocks. If you rent a business you do not need to keep your car in the parking lot of unblocks. Also a lot of the areas just a mess. It was a little bit hard at first for me to figure even where to check in. The office looked abandoned and it's over on the side where they're doing a lot of construction. Simply a sign saying office would have been very helpful. And one complaint that maybe doesn't apply to everyone is that there was no place for me to put my laptop so I had to try to work laying on the bed. I realize that the desk and chair can take a lot of room in it hotel room and not everybody uses one but that is something that I really missed especially on this trip where I need to do some work.

The motel was easy to find. Beds were find and shower pressure was good. It looked like the motel was closed at first glance. Did not notice much construction going on though.

This place needs work. They are currently under construction. However, I stayed in a room that appeared to be semi-updated. The TV did not work. The manager came and could not get it to work; however, I was able to transfer to another room with a working TV. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The room floor hasn't been cleaned, and there's visible debris. The refrigerator still had remnants of whatever the prior guest had left behind, and it was dirty! The light switches, and the sink was dirty, with brown print on the light switch for the bathroom, yuck! Whoever is doing the updates has no attention to detail, uneven light switches and plugs, for example. I don't have access to the ice machine. The manager brought me ice when I requested it, but I couldn't get ice before I left on a 90+ degree day, which was unacceptable. Huge trip hazard: an inch-and-a-half rise with edging leading into the bathroom. As a person with Parkinson's, I have to be very careful, and having a tripping hazard going to the bathroom is totally unacceptable. Then the cheap, easily chipped laminate floor was not installed with any backing, and it flexes when you step on it, creating a trip hazard throughout the room. With a car on cement blocks in the parking lot. I would expect more from a Choice Hotel. The shower looks recently updated; however, the shower floor was not cleaned, and the conditioner bottle was empty. Wait till the construction is done before possibly staying there.
