El Cortez Hotel and Casino - 21 and Over

The airport shuttle is useless for a casino/resort! I lost more money than the slot machines at the airport

All the staff and the Club Cortez Ladies were amazing. So helpful and made us feel like "old Vegas". We already have a plan to come back and stay again.

I had no complaints and I stayed 5 nights.

The location was prime if you want to have walkability and still be close to the action. Felt comfortable walking around any time. The gym was decent( add free weights). No complaints. We are headed back in January or February.

Casino is cramped and very smokey, making it hard to breathe (and I'm a smoker!). Table limits are way too high for a casino of this type. I booked 3 nights and stayed 2. Thursday Night. Check in room, AC not working (temp high 90's). Room change, AC was fine. Friday Night. Hit sack around 9pm after long day gambling. 9:30 hit, diagonally corner of 7th/Fremont is Container Park. A large fire-breathing steel sculpture of a Praying Mantis is blasting loud flares to even louder music. This goes on for 5 minutes, every 15 minutes until 2 am. I manage to fall asleep, only to be awaken to even louder hip-hop music coming from open air club directly across the street! Loudest music I have ever heard and I play in AD/DC tribute band! Put in earplugs and was able to get back to light sleep around 2am. Bottom line... they put me on 5th floor on side where 7th St meets Fremont St. No warning about loud attractions or clubs. I get it, it's Vegas and everyone wants to party, They should let you know about it so you can decide whether or not it will work for you. I had booked/paid for 3 nights. I ended my stay short and left after 2 nights. Very disappointed. Last thought, rooms are very old and in dire need of refresh. Everything is highly dated. For the same money I could have stayed elsewhere that would have been quieter, nicer and more user friendly casino. Needless to lef

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the Cabana Suites and fell in love with decor immediately. My room was comfortable and floor quiet. It was right in the middle of the Fremont St. experience walking distance. The casino was awesome and away from the strip. Many food choices surrounding the hotel.

The El Cortez is in a perfect location to experience Vegas off the strip, but located on Fremont is the next best thing. Expect a little noise, but no one goes to Vegas to stay in their room. Staff was helpful.

Room was super clean and updated, did not feel like we were staying at Fremont. Casino and bars was good staff was helpful. Looking fowards on staying here again.

I think they have gotten new pillows since the last time because they are WONDERFUL! I am thinking of calling them to see if I can buy some. If you are a lite sleeper ask for a room on the far side away from the fire breathing mantis at the Container Park. Always a good stay.

Casino nicely remodeled Only one of two elevators operating but no security for use taking ANYONE to exterior but covered hallways. A $33.xx unlisted ‘amenity fee’ for what? No pool and when I asked the only thing the front desk clerk could come up with was I could call and ask for more little bottles of water Would not stay again

Love this casino! It’s always clean. The staff is amazing and the food is great!

staff is great for sure, however the non smoking tower was closed to the Fremont experience and it was definitely too loud o sleep, on our second night we requested ear plugs to sleep and that helped a ton.

The room was clean and comfortable. The a/c worked flawlessly. The room was very quiet at night even though there was a club across the way. Love the 21+ rules. Will most definitely stay here again.

A good deal around Fremont St. historic. Be aware of a resort fee attached. Convenient value if you’re staying Downtown

Over 21 guest only was a plus. No internet & having to buy it not good. Rooms were clean, but not spotless.
