La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Kansas City Lenexa

The rooms were clean I guess...beds were decently comfortable. I would not want to stay for a longer period of time but for the single night it was decent. I did appriciate the sitting area (where the breakfast is served I would assume) where we were able to visit with family for a little while. I did not like that there was only 1 elevator way in the back. I did not like that the floor in the bathroom by the tub was lifting. Supposedly there is an ice machine but I never did see where it was. I also did not care for the continental breakfast at all. Warmed up canned sausage gravy? Gross. No fresh fruit? Only 1 kind of yogurt? Someone who is diabetic or has special dietary needs will need to plan ahead and pack their own food or go to a restaurant. They could drop the prices $10-15 and just not offer breakfast. Or improve it drastically.

Location for where we was going. Our handicap room was terrible. Only lights that worked was the one by the desk and the bathroom. The lights, outlets between the beds did not work. The phone and clock did not work. The tub was way to high couldn't get in it. Beds was hard. The hall way had slops that was hard for us to walk on. The out side to come into the hotel was Un even and sloped and dangerous for handicap. Moved to another room this room wasnt handicapped and beds was terriblely hard. The tub was still very tall could not get in it. There was a bug in the bath tub. The toilet seat was loose and moving every where. The tub was slick looked like some kind of oil in it when we put our hand in it. Had to wash off on the out side of tub standing on a towel.

The first shift staff was new and did not help with finding things to do in the city. The refrigerator in the room was popping when on. The people across the hall were loud.

Location was great. The staff we interacted with was a horses ass. There were two couples of us and I personally had requested that our rooms be together. I even had an email from them saying that they would give us two rooms together. Just because one couple checked in while the other couple was getting luggage and using the bathroom. So when the second couple began to check in, they were told that because the other couple checked in without the second couple, we could not have two rooms together. The guy was so rude, every time I began speaking he would interrupt me saying the same thing over and over. The breakfast was awful. And it was served 6:00 to 9:00. I felt like it could be 7:00 to 10:00. Give the customers more time to sleep in some. We go to KC every year for the NASCAR race. We will never stay at this LaQuinta again.

BED BUGS!!!! BED BUGS!!! BED BUGS!!!!! This place was HORRIBLE!!! I asked to speak with a manager once i kept getting bit and i looked and saw a bed bug, they told me the manager would be there at 8am. Then at 9am, they told me the manager wouldn’t be in until after 11. I never spoke with a manager. They did move me to another room, i stayed for one night and they still charged me for two nights. Still didn’t receive my refund yet

I enjoyed the room it was nice and clean. I also enjoyed the breakfast selection the next morning before heading out. I wasn’t aware of the $15 pet fee associated with my stay until I was at the front counter checking in which is fine but I wish I could have been communicated earlier via the website when booking is all.

It was pretty rough shape

I couldn't stay. I was with the front desk person, she advice me to make the reservation through booking, unfortunately It was after midnight and she said she was unable to give me a room, I had made the reservation for next day at 3 pm. What a way to make a free money. I would never use booking or la Quinta Inn. Service was awaful Simple, tired, wanted to relax in a room and I was unable to make it. I had to go somewhere else and pay for another room

Breakfast was less than desirable,

I gave the hotel a "poor" rating for various reasons! The Room felt "dingy" and not that clean, especiallythe floors! The room had a funky/musty odor when you walked in the room from the air conditioner. i doubt that it's been cleaned regularly! I had a problem with the TV and the staffer didn't help resolve the issue! The breakfast was decent...

Great value

It had a bed so that’s good but not much else. Room was dirty. A couple lamps but no overhead lighting.

Passable

The bed was good and actually comfortable. The toilet was clogged ,my husband had to get a plunger. Needs fixing. The top of the lid of the ice bucket was gross had some oily substance on it. Went down to get another bucket w/ lid attendant said "what is it" told him I don't know. After looking for a min. ,got a new bucket, no lid. The continental breakfast was ok, no fruit, the pancake machine was not working properly. Had to ask a female attendant for help. She was on the phone, had to wait 15 min. for her to come and fix the machine. I really don't think we will come back to this hotel.

NEVER EVER STAT HERE!!! People were passed out in the halls, atmosphere was very sketchy. Unfortunately I booked 2 nights. I walked in my room and left within 30 seconds! Very creepy.
