Motel 6 Lenexa, KS - Kansas City Southwest

Honestly the staff was the only problem. When you come from out of town and you need an earlier check in then 3 pm you should get your staff to quickly clean a room so you can accommodate your guest. Check out is at 11am and it doesn't take 4 hours to clean one single room that would do wonders for your customer. Everything was good except for staff.

What I don't like is that there wasn't a microwave or a mini-fridge.

The price. Kinda loud at night with trucks driving fast and fast motorcycles driving on I-35 fast.

It's just an older property.

Nothing Honestly, everything was terrible: the hotel smelled awful, and the facilities were deplorable and uncomfortable. But most of all, what I disliked most was the unexpected double charge on my credit card when we had actually paid for the stay at check-in. Four months later, I still haven't received a refund. It's unbelievable that Booking.com allows this kind of thing.

I liked that it wasn't far from the freeway. The shower was nice with nice water pressure. When we first got there and checked in, the 1st room had no lightbulbs and no AC. It was cooler outside in 100 degrees weather than in the room. The 2nd room they moved us to had little to no AC and again it was cooler outside that it was in the room. We ended up having to buy a box fan from Walmart just to have some air flow in the room the first night. This seemed more like an extended stay place rather than an actual motel for travelers. The rooms are tiny with barely any moving room. We ended up deciding to head home than stay the 2nd night because when we returned from our outting for the day (103 degree weather) the room was so hot we would rather be outside and there was no way we could sleep in there. The rooms don't have individual AC units. Only after I booked the reservation and paid did I receive a message that many amenities may not be available due to COVID-19 and that their pool was closed until further notice. I booked this motel partly due to the idea of being able to swim, but that wasn't made apparent until right before we were leaving on our trip, which left no time to look for other accommodations. I have requested a refund for the 2nd night we didn't stay due to the conditions of the motel.

There was nothing good or unique about this place big cockroaches in my room the only plus I'll give them is I managed to sleep on the bed and the shower was good

There was a mildew smell when I walked in, all the walls all over the room and bathroom had scraps and dents in it pain missing on walls just needs a good cleaning but hasn’t been done properly, the air conditioning is also set by them not you so was very hot and sticky in the room the entire stay

Clean room, bathroom somewhat updated. The floors need replaced. The mattress was not very soft. Parking lot and motel lighting was very bright, so it was easy to see at night. Air conditioning was okay, needs to be updated. Very quite, did not hear any traffic noise from highway. Staff was not very welcoming

Staff was very friendly and helpful and check-in was fast. Parking availability near room wasn’t close, the concrete stairs and walkways were in alot of need or repair. The room inspected immediately on entry: 2 full beds extremely basic and minimal, sheets, pillows and “blanket” very thin, appeared clean except, for long black curly hairs I found in both beds, who made the beds beds to pull m hair back, so that was a bit unpleasant. I found small short black hairs in several towels (not head hairs if you know what I mean) those were immediately not to be used. The floor was filthy, they were hard surfaces and there were yucky substances throughout so I told everyone don’t walk barefoot. walls, gross! Food smears, more “unknown” substance smears on the walls near the bed obviously the walls never get cleaned down, easily needs mopped or towel cleaned. Add CLEAN WALLS to the to-do list. So gross. vents to include bedroom and bathroom were covered with more dust than air could come out, to think of breathing that in was bad. must add to their to-do list DUST VENTS. Couldn’t use the shower because there was SO much brown gunk DIRT on the shower base/floor I was able to wipe up dirt with toilet paper, it clearly could be cleaned but hasn’t been, we had no shower shoes so we couldn’t take showers. This was the WORST part, we needed showers by this time it was late so we slept and checked out early. If cleaned this motel wouldn’t be so awful. Nice area but Police patrol it,red flag
