Super 8 by Wyndham Lenexa Overland Park/Mall Area

It was clean. Being met by a clerk on a monitor screen was too impersonal for my tastes. In addition, the guy on the screen was VERY hard to understand. The hall to my room was dark and just a little scary. The side door of the hotel was unsecured. Anyone could have come or gone through that door, and no one would have known otherwise. I paid for the room through booking.com, ahead of arrival, then I had to pay more for a security deposit when I checked in. I had to choose between paying a $40 refundable deposit or a $6 non-refundable deposit. The ice machine was out of service. There was no information on wifi passwords, the location of the breakfast, or the times for breakfast, and there was no person to ask for assistance on anything. If there had been any type of danger, there was no one to alert or to give assistance.

Bedbugs and dirty floors and sheets. Nothing better to say. And they won't refund the stay.

Bed was comfy. Close to interstate so easy to get places.

Location and price was the only good thing about this hotel. We walked in to have to sign in with a person on a kiosk that I could barely understand. After fighting with that for 10 minutes a person came out and had me checked in within 2 minutes. However, the room we were given was not cleaned, bedding all over, trash, it stunk, etc. As I was walking out to go talk to them a man was getting ready to walk in. Apparently he was just given the same room at the same time! Got that fixed and got our room finally. No elevator whatsoever so my husband that's a disabled vet had to walk 3 flights of stairs. The toliet seat was barely hanging on and the toilet was barely flushing. There was a hole in the shower for Lord knows what purpose so we didn't use it, just closed the curtain. And pretty sure there was mold on the ac vents.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Cockroaches everywhere! This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Not only did the entire play smell of weed, we saw a cockroach climb the wall as we were checking In. Against my better judgment we stayed. I woke up around 12:30 am to a cockroach climbing over my shoulder. I jumped out of bed and turned the light on. My fiance killed it and we started packing instantly. While packing, we came across 3 more, one crawled in a small cooler of ours. We walked to the front desk demanding our money back. They refused to refund all of our money because we have to pay for the cleaning. We dumped the cockroach out on the service desk as we left. We left a complaint with the health department. I expected better from a hotel by Wyndham. Never again!

There was mold on the ceiling of the room. The towels had holes in them. The blanket had cigarette burns on it. And the whole hotel smelt like like mildew and ass, covered in insense. Then they wanted to keep half the room cost cause I went in the room. This place should be closed. Don't stay here!!!

Horrible experience from start to end.

nothing. my fiance found bed bugs in our bed. there was mold on the lampshade and the neighbors were probably killing each other. when we went to complain the man in the lobby waved me to the couch and then told us “show him the issue” as if we were inconveniencing him with my sleeping 1 year old in my arms worried for our safety.

The tv worked but the room smelled of mildew and mold a very disgusting putrid smell

Good location

You'll get overpowered by the intense air freshener they use, if you still more than one night they're not going to clean your room, and if you need anything late after 10:00 p.m. they want you to talk to some guy in the foreign country over a video conference while the guy who's actually tending the desk sleeping on the couch. Late at night there's some unsavory characters that like to hang out in the parking lot and sleep in the car. The Pepsi is only $12 and they only charge that for one night when they could be charging for every single night. And if you don't have money for a deposit then your bank account they'll take a $6 cash deposit non-refundable. And it is one of the best places for the money.

This place DOES NOT reflect true conditions in the pictures. There are holes in the shower, door frame in the bathroom was falling apart. Backside of entry door was stained and nasty. Sheets were dirty and had hair in it. I saw a baby roach in the bed, and on my last day I found a full grown cockroach on the back of the door. The hallway is hot, there is no elevator at all, the entire facility smells like weed, and overall the experience was terrible! Would never go back, or recommend to anyone!

Clean n cheap

Television and telephone didn’t work, the faucet and handle in shower moved around and was not caulked. The water pressure was not good at all!

Could nt get my key to work for 45 minutes. Refrigerator didn’t work in my room or my family’s room so our Cheesecake Factory food spoiled and all our money was wasted. Every time we left we got locked out our room n had to get our keys reset. Someone was in my room in my stuff when I left I HATE IT THERE WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

En cinco dias no hicieron las camas nunca, solo sacaron la basura y hoy que es el ultimo dia de esta reservacion mapearon el piso, pero no hicieron camas. El desayuno es teriblemete pobre, el cafe se acaba antes de las 7:00am, pregunte por mas y me dijeron que tenia que esperar de 15 a 20 minutos.
