Super 8 by Wyndham Lenexa Overland Park/Mall Area

Old and lots of issues…you get what you pay for i guess. My stay at the Super 8 in Gardner was by far much better, cleaner and a much friendlier staff.

A little outdated but very nice

This property was chaotic police there like 10 cars at once someone staying let their baby wander out of the room and into another person's room the police approached my husband and I questioned us then warned us that this particular property has high drug traffic and guns the front desk would not help the moment I checked in the toilet was clogged and they stated I had to fix the problem myself and that customer must fix it themselves there were roaches in the room the ac unit was awful it was so dirty it sounded like a tractor dogs barking all hours loud talking and banging on doors it was just awful it was really disappointing. We would like a full refund or at least half of what was paid.

Card kept on not working

The smell of this hotel was awful, the hotel is outdated. I wl not be going back to this hotel.

As for the room, the bathroom was poorly repaired from previous damage and botched renovations. The bedframes were too small for the queen mattresses. The blankets had stains and we did not have enough towels initially for 4 people, despite this being clearly indicated in our reservation information. The pool was closed the entire time. Breakfast materials ran out early. And there were extremely bright lights in the parking lot that shone directly into our room and were barely blocked by the curtains. All in all probably the poorest experience I have had in a Super8 hotel.

Downsides are no elevator in a three story building, little options on breakfast but okay, water pressure in shower could be turned up and shower head placement is too low but luckily have hot water. Also, the hallways could have a update on appliances. I would recommend this hotel so long as you don’t have a whole lot of luggage.

Room smelled very musty and felt damp. It smelled like bad body odor. The room appeared clean and the bedding and pillows were comfortable but it smelled really bad.

This property is really dirty. I was given 3 different rooms on check in before I finally had to leave and go to another hotel. Mold and mildew in the bathroom, dirty sheets on the bed, a safety pin left by another person on the bathroom counter which told me it was not cleaned/sanitized by staff.

This place was terrible, inappropriate things happening in the parking lot. Cockroaches in the hall, brown water from the faucet, stained sheets. Do not stay here.

Light switch, but No light when you walk into a dark room. Steep steps up to third floor, no elevator. Shower ok, but stained shower curtain. TV was poor, not great sound, very few channels. You get what you pay for.

Rooms have a lot of flying bugs, even after changing rooms they were still the same.

Room was filthy, smelled like cigarettes, and had a cockroach. Left after 5 minutes to find a new hotel.

Stay somewhere else

The lobby was unkempt and the front desk was sticky. The room we were issued smelled like smoke. The staff didn’t help with our concerns and were indifferent to customer service.

not worth the money. over 200$ because the world cup is around is crazy. not worth the money. not clean. nothing much to offer for breakfast.

Very old looking hotel. They gave me a dirty room at first.

The room wasn't clean. The vinyl floors looked like the hadn't been moped in a while , the walls have some yellowish condensation, the linens looked dirty., and the window air conditioner barely worked. The positives lot of parking space, the hotel is close to the mall, and restaurants. They hotel's message said welcome to our newly remodeled hotel, I think the reception area looks fine, but the actual rooms need a lot of maintenance.
