Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lexington, KY

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. When we entered our room, there was a noticeable musty smell. The bathroom had significant mold and mildew, to the point that we went to the dollar store across the street, purchased cleaning supplies, and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. Communication with the staff was also difficult, as there appeared to be a significant language barrier. Even simple greetings or questions at the front desk were sometimes difficult to communicate. Breakfast was served every morning. I was hesitant at first, but the breakfast ended up being one of the few things that was okay during our stay. However, there were very limited options that appealed to my granddaughter. The condition of the common areas was another major concern. The entrance leading toward the pool had a very unpleasant odor and did not appear to be properly cleaned. The stairways and hallways were dirty, and the carpets were visibly stained. The hotel advertised amenities including a gym and pool, but we were unable to properly access or use them. There was a sign indicating that the exercise area was out of order, and there appeared to be no access available. At that point, we already had the room and needed somewhere to sleep, so we completed our stay. However, based on the cleanliness, maintenance issues, condition of the common areas, and unavailable amenities, I would not stay at this establishment again.

I stayed here for about three weeks while I closed on my home. The breakfast was good while yogurt and sausages and eggs. The fresh made cookies in the lobby was a nice touch too. The rooms were very clean and the hotel tidy. For me the front desk staff were everything! Professional and kind they were each day. All hotels should copy their work characteristics. The location is fantastic near to the highway and stores. I did not love the 2nd floor carpet in certain areas. Needs upgrade!

Room needed more attention for cleaning. Also at check in we waited for someone to get off the phone to check us in.

I always stay here when I visit or drop off my daughter to college at University of Kentucky. Not fancy but just fine also breakfast not fancy but just fine.

The only positive thing about this stay was the king bed was comfortable the staff was away from the desk for 20 minutes when I check in, the pool is not clean at all, the lobby furniture is old and outdated, and the place smells like cigarettes (probably coming from the man getting drunk on the front porch). Staff was rude and didn’t know what linens were when I asked for extra?! Room smelled of mildew and smoke and the closet rack is missing and it’s just plaster over the wall. The carpet is stained in room and hallway, the mattress cover is ripped, the walls are patched, the toilet does not flush without multiple tries, there is blood and/or feces on the bathroom wall, the door knobs are janky. the pull out couch was covered in blood and/or feces that clearly was not properly cleaned!

I like the staff they seem kind and professional. Usually they have fresh baked cookies and tea in the lobby. The fresh cookies go quickly and the lobby cold use additional free snacks at certain times.

The hotel is affordable. The staff are professional and caring. They give 100 percent. I don't like that the second and third floors are showing dating. The carpets, walls and the second third floor has a broken water/ice machine sitting on the hallway. It brings down the quality of the area and room costs. Room size is great and TVs are decent

We did an overnight stay here. There ended up being 5 of us in one room. No worries, the staff was easy to work with and got us a roll out bed for the addition. The property was dated and the hallways had the lingering smell of smoke, but otherwise, for an overnight stop it was a good place to stay.

The breakfast was good, area was clean, service was on top of food. I tipped the service person because she deserved it!
