Courtyard by Marriott Lexington North

There was no prior notification that a renovation was going on at this hotel. One half of the rooms were closed for this renovation. Shipping containers were parked outside our room and had been there quite a while evidenced by the amount of leaf debris settled on the tops. Our room had been recently updated but was not clean. Tile bathroom floor was dirty. Shower floor was dirty. Bathroom vanity area had obvious dirt smudge on the newer paint. Tile & caulking in this newer vanity was poorly installed. Privacy curtains had a broken track & could not be closed. The elevator was beyond filthy, with stains on the floor and something nasty splashed on the metal keypad area. This could have easily been cleaned but it has obviously been overlooked for a long time. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room was clean It’s very outdated, needs a lot of sprucing up. Not up to Marriott standards and definitely not worth the price charged.

There is no breakfast offered anymore even though I paid extra for it.

Staff was pleasant The hotel was not clean. The room was not clean. I checked out 5 minutes after checking in.

First, we were given keys to a room that was occupied. Imagine the surprise for both of us! After a night of listening to our loud, rattling air conditioner switching on and off, when we were leaving our room, the deadbolt wouldn’t open immediately. It took several tries. We realize the property is undergoing renovations, but this was beyond an inconvenience. The room itself had an awkward set up and didn’t feel up to Marriott standards.

That it was in Kentucky. Total dump. Trash everywhere. Staff sucked. Looks like a crime scene. I thought I was going to need a tetanus shot just to stay there.

Close to the stadium Construction made getting in confusing. Also I had to DoorDash food because the food place wasn’t open due to construction.

The man at the front desk was friendly Overall, the property was dirty and dingy. It had a foul odor on multiple floors. The key to the first room we were given there was someone inside that room so we had to go all the way back to the lobby and get another key.
