Room wasn’t available that I booked. Air conditioner sounded like it was an airplane taking off. No ice in the ice machine on 1st floor.

I booked a two queen room with a balcony. When we got to our room, the desk attendant put us in a one queen with balcony. When I went down to address the issue, she was very apologetic. She then put us in a two queen room, without a balcony. At this point- we had a long and eventful day of travel and just wanted to rest. I told the gal, and she was apologetic again, but said there were no balcony rooms left. I would have thought there would be a complimentary something, anything, but nope. I had to ask for hand soap for the bathroom; there was a hair tie in the bathroom that didn’t belong to us, and the beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The noise from the hall was ridiculous, the door stuck open and had to be forcefully closed, as well as the AC unit would squeal every time it turned on. Very overpriced with no add on amenities. Will not recommend.

Pros: easy-ish location near highway (construction for 2 years). Outside pool with bar and outside spa. Amenity options. Inside bar and restaurant shower and water pressure. Cons: price. Limited chairs by pool. Outside bar closing time. Hallways dirty. Stairwells horribly dirty. Balcony not cleaned since fall. Sidewalks closed. Has smoking area attached to building on 2nd floor. Can smell cigarettes and hear people.

Room was very clean, guest services were welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed the spa services, restaurant and pool area. All were wonderful. I especially recommend the spa!

Dirty room, dogs barking all hours of night kids screaming until 11:30pm at night. Horrible stay

Needs updating would not stay again

Blakeley and Mindy, the breakfast waitresses, were awesome, true rays of sunshine.

Room was very clean. However, it was very hot, A/C set to 65 and it wasn't reaching temperature. Went to the front desk to ask for a fan and housekeeping was gone for the day, Engineering was supposed to bring it up but never happened. Building is very nice but could use some updates.

Overall the hotel and amenities were nice. The biggest complaint was the cleanliness of our shower. The shower could use a detailed clean and even an update. The room itself was clean. While it was nice to have a breakfast buffet inside the hotel, we felt it was overpriced for the amount of breakfast options to choose from with the breakfast buffet. The pools were nice and we liked being able to choose from 2 pools and 2 spas. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy on the property.

Staff was great, one of the best. Rooms were nice but could have been cooler and with more amenities (no microwave is a bummer) but the shower was awesome. Some small cleanliness issues but nothing serious, and the property was having AC issues so it's understandable. Overall a nice week and a great staff, always a solid experience with Marriott.

The dining in the hotel was below pair for the hotel rating.

The receptionist at the front desk when I first came in was rude. She told me I won't get a balcony room, even though I paid for it, because it was booked through a third party so, "oh well." Although I had a card on file and digital card (mine was stolen) she was telling me I wouldn't be able to stay unless I had a card to give her. When I was questioning her, she said, "I just work here. Just doing what I'm told." Her snot attitude is nothing I reciprocate well to and before it escalated, she used my card on file that I booked with. The golf course was nice and my fiance and I enjoyed it very much. That was the highlight of our stay. Pretty easy course and well maintained. If you go during an event where there are alot of teenagers, hopefully you have more of a handle on them than these adults did because they were running around our floor, yelling and acting like they were in a playground at 10:30 at night. Yes, I raised kids and I would never allow that. Very disrespectful to the other people who paid to sleep there.

The ground at the dining room were exceptional

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Everything in my room was covered in dust, giving the impression that it had been unoccupied for quite some time. The in-room air conditioning was inadequate and struggled to keep the room comfortable. The front desk staff were polite but came across as reserved and somewhat unwelcoming, lacking the warmth typically expected in a hospitality setting. In contrast, the wait staff in the lobby restaurant were excellent—friendly, attentive, and provided consistently good service throughout my stay.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Love it. Close enough to downtown for a cheap uber but far enough away that the noise and trouble is beyond sight or hearing. Beautiful property, two great pools, wonderful staff.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The fact that it advertised as dog friendly. It was not. We got charged so many fees that it almost cost as much as the room charge. Resort fee for the dog? He doesn’t play golf!

Bar Restaurant was under staffed for full weekend, but food was good.

Upon arriving, we immediately noticed that the hotel was hosting a Sons of Confederate Veterans conference, with Confederate flags displayed prominently throughout the lobby and common areas. Regardless of the organization's intentions, these symbols represent a painful part of our nation's history and can be deeply hurtful to many people, including guests and employees. We were surprised that the hotel chose to host and visibly accommodate an event of this nature without any acknowledgment of the impact it could have on others. Although we checked into Room 532 because we had already made the trip, we stayed only about four hours before deciding we simply could not remain at the property. We chose to leave rather than continue our stay. What made the experience even more disappointing was the complete lack of response afterward. I contacted Marriott Corporate by email and also reached out through Hotels.com to express my concerns, yet I never received any reply or acknowledgment from either. The absence of any response left us feeling that our concerns were not taken seriously. Because of both our experience at the hotel and the lack of customer service afterward, we will not be returning to this property.
