Great deal for a family on a budget. Having multiple beds was helpful. Everything was very clean.

Super warm and cozy lodging. Feels like a home away from home. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. My cottage was very clean but it is an older building in general so not spotless. Saw a couple little insects throughout my stay (like centipedes) but with the building being older and made of wood, I expected this. No amenities but they are up front about that when booking and it’s reflected in the very affordable pricing. Cottage had everything I could need; hot plate, rice cooker, dishes and utensils, etc. I will say there’s significant noise. The walls are definitely thin and I was directly across from a pre-school. Front desk does offer earplugs. I would also keep my AC unit running for the air but it also drowned out most noise! Would definitely stay again!!!

We got a "cottage" (really a small room connected to others), which included a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and some utensils & plates. A little tight, but good AC, TV & bed; office area with Hawiian history displays and good free coffee in the morning; nicely tended grounds; good location for walking around Lahue; about a mile to beach, airport or Walmart. Friendly, helpful folks.

Tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen! Room is also very small. No night stand or electrical on one side. Questionable neighborhood. The front desk is behind glass/plastic and closes at 8 pm. Heard sirens nearby 4 times and fireworks close by. The positive notes- very close to airport and inexpensive. Which had us saying “you get what you pay for”. I would definitely pay more at another location in the future.

A quick drive to the harbor (good eats, beech, indoor mini golf & a lighthouse) and close to the airport, costco, target etc. we found it a good hub to drive to both ends of the island’s roads However, Lihue itself isnt really walkable and the north side (Hanalei) which has a cuter towny vibe and great food & drink is ~45 mins drive away. Not a ding but worth knowing up front

Very quaint. Loud air conditioner

Rini was ever smiling and extra-oridinarily helpful. Next tome if at all we visit Lihue, we will stay at at this hotel, only because Rini was just too good. God bless Rini.

Really old property but amazing price

Room cleaned every third day, but fresh towels are supplied more often. Ceiling fan and a/c kept the room pleasant. Lots of electrical outlets. Friendly staff. Conveniently central and a short walk to Hamura Saimin. Good value.

Rooms have everything you need, with nothing you dont. Perfect for our needs.

I loved that I got to use the lockbox to check in after hours!

Stayed at the property for two nights. Front desk closed at 8 pm, but check in was seamless using their lockbox system. The room was dated but clean, and came with air conditioning, a ceiling light and fan, a TV and a small refrigerator. Complimentary coffee was available near the front desk. Free parking was available in front of the hotel and in a small rear lot. Street parking was also available. We walked two blocks to the Kauai Diner for a nice breakfast. All in all, we would recommend the Kauai Palms for its budget prices, convenient location minutes from the airport and eateries like Hamura Saimin and the Kauai Diner.

Wonderful stay! We stayed in one of the cabins. It was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was convenient to the airport, local attractions, and beaches. It is walking distance to many great restaurants and a nice neighborhood park. The property was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and we loved meeting Mango!

Private room at a perfect location of Kauai, near the airport with free parking place. Supermarkets and restaurants also nearby by car, also the full island is easily explorable from this location. The hotel itself has a really peaceful and beautiful garden at the front, also they have free coffee and microwave in the kitchen area. Absolutely recommended.

We booked for a kitchen, yet there was NO baking pans, no one available to get one from. Shower was so painful and not adjustable due to the intense pressure and leaks all over the floor because the intense pressure would blow the curtain open. Very small space. Bedding had an intense fabric softener smell, and bed was so bouncy that everytime my partner or kid moved, I woke up from the vibration. The room needs some upgrading, maybe even more than 2 forks. It is close to airport tho

We had a quick stay after flying into Lihue late and everything met our expectations! We requested a crib/pack n play and that was available. We also checked in after the lobby office was closed and that process was smooth. AC was fully functional and appreciated. Bathroom was very cramped.
