Excellent!!!

Perfect location! Within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. A lot of activity in the Haymarket area. The King Suite was just right for 4 people. Parking in a garage $15/night.

We were in a room overlooking the roof of the pool and there was a dirty broom laying on it that looked like it had been there for months. Eye sore! They used to have breakfast at 6:00 am now on weekdays they have it @ 7:00 am. Went down to have breakfast@ 7:20 am, no scrambled eggs for 20 minutes, it is supposed to be buffet style. So waiting for the scrambled eggs I grabbed a hard boiled one, and guess what they were frozen.

The room we were given had exceptionally high humidity in it. So much so the bedding was damp, towels, eventually our clothes. I called the front desk. When nobody came, I went to the front desk where a sticky note was placed on a laptop. The maintenance guy (who was awesome) said the unit had a clogged drain, set the school to 65 I let him know we’d be gone all day. Upon our return, it was still awful. They moved us to another room. My daughter ended up sick. It smelled like mold in that room. The grout was black, brown and white in the shower. The shower head had thick mineral build up. After changing rooms, you could see where paint had been applied over issues in the bathroom of that room too. The thermostats didn’t work, at all. The breakfast was meh. The location is great for going to a game if you don’t bring clothes, electronics or expect a clean space. Parking was easy.

AC wouldn’t shut off and front desk clerk was very unhelpful and rude. I understand they had no maintenance crew there at night but aren’t the rooms checked or housekeeping lets them know the room is 64 degrees and AC won’t turn off?? I had already unpacked. Switched rooms at 2 in the morning. No longer any travel size moisturizer in the room. Air quality is not good in the rooms. Breakfast was below par.

Shower was great. The breakfast was very good. Great selection and staff at breakfast and front desk were friendly and very nice.

Very high class at lower cost hotel. It is definitely close to amenities in the Haymarket area and at the same time easy access to parking.
