Holiday Inn Express & Suites Detroit Northwest - Livonia by IHG

Property lost power temporarily during storm. Air conditioning was never restored, stairways were kept dark and presented serious potential for injuries, staff locked the front door making it unsafe for guests trying to leave, staff was not available, no communication with guests on alternative remedies, day staffed refused to give towels stating they didn’t have any but night staff provided towels with no problem. We were only offered a bottle of water for our inconvenience.

Everything was done well in this hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The property is new and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The hotel attracts a special kind of clientele. Expect lots of stomping up and down hallways starting at 7am and wet elevators from people who have used the pool and haven't fully dried off. The man in charge of the breakfast was helpful but snarky. For the price, I would not stay here again.

Fantastic breakfast and service. Traveling for a month, so the laundry services were clean and easy to use. Location between Ann Arbor and Detroit was great!

It was close to the expressway which was great but the expressway was loud. They provided earplugs that were helpful. Clean and no different than other IHG hotels.
