Carpet feels like it needs cleaning

The room was quite dirty, hair in sink and tub and in the bathroom floor. Not enough staff working at the front desk, had to wait so long just to ask a question. The property itself is not bad. The price was cheap and the location was good but I wouldn’t stay there again.

We did not enjoy the super long line for checking in and checking out because it was super hot in the all glass lobby. We did love the rubber ducky fountain and the iced flavored waters.

Horrible customer service they treated us so poorly our room smelled like cigarettes and perfume and overall it was a horrible experience zero oddity and highly would not recommend this location. I’ve stayed at Hilton plenty of times, but never had such horrible experience like I did at this particular location.

If you’re reading this you should probably book somewhere else. If you don’t have another option you will be alright but I personally wouldn’t book here again. The kind staff is limited, one’s who go out their way to make things difficult and a vacation stressful are in abundance so if you’re into that you’re in great hands. The property was clean, but the parking was atrocious. The rooms are outdated and the AC needs help, you will be hot even with it running. The elevators shake, and don’t always open. They do have really good blackout curtains I’ll give them that. The lobby is nice but I imagine you’d be spending more time in the outdated room. Don’t eat breakfast there go to one of the local near by spots better quality for the price.

My husband and I will not be staying at the Long Beach Hilton Hotel on Ocean Ave. again. We are fans of the Hilton brand, but this hotel was not up to the standards the company tries to portray. Here is why: 1) Parking - We checked in to the hotel at 9:30PM on a Sunday nigh after attending a wedding in Long Beach. Valet and self-parking were completely full. They directed us to underground parking at a business building across the street and gave us a tiny paper map. The lot had not attendant nor sign "This way to Hilton Hotel". We ended up walking on a dark street back to the hotel and had to cross Ocean Avenue which is one of the busiest streets in the city. This parking issue put us in a dangerous situation or for any guests arriving later at night. 2) Room had a cracked sink in the bathroom. 3) Check-out service - Hilton now makes you download an app to do electronic check out. The QR code on the TV screen was not reading correctly on my iphone to download. Person at check-out desk incompetent - We had to then go to the lobby to check out. My husband expressed his concern about safety having to cross the street the previous night for parking with not visible directions to the Hilton. Her answer, "Well, I do it." She finally added "I'm sorry you experienced that". She was supposed to give us a code to get back in the garage to retrieve our car across the street, but did not. Fortunately, two maintenance workers saw us and let us in the garage.

We were located on the 11th floor. It was decorated in Star Wars which was amazing. Room was clean, staff was very helpful. They have a rubber duck display that’s adorable. The kids loved it.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would have given it 5 stars with the exception of upon arrival, I walked into the lobby with 50+ people in line, it took a couple of hours to check in because their system went down (apparently Worldwide)... the line looked like one you would see in Las Vegas but worse and considering the wait time the hotel didn't seem do anything special for the guests but hand them a bottle of water when you got to the front desk. Had it not been for other people in line we would have not ever known why there was such a long line there was nobody tending to the line and explaining to people what was going on and the only thing they did do was give me a late check out on my last day at 1:00 PM which I did appreciate. If you want go to a nice hotel in Long Beach with a laid back environment, not super picky about noise or what's going on in the lobby (because that was active with people playing pool, shuffleboard, the bar area, etc.) this is the hotel for you. I actually liked that environment, it was upbeat and not stuffy and the staff was truly nice and welcoming. Although I said I would never go to a Hilton hotel again due to a bad experience in the state of Washington three years ago I would definitely go back to this location.

Unfortunately their system was down and we could not get our room for countless hours after check in time. Did not make for a happy few hours waiting in line a mile long to start our vacation with no time frame on when if their system would be up and going. Not satisfactory whatsoever.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was great. My plane landed at 9:30am and I did have to wait a little bit, since the hotel was sold out the night before, but they got me checked in as soon as a room was ready. I will be staying again when my cruise returns.

The rooms were great it was when we went out to swim it was late and we asked that the fire pit be turned on and they said they would send someone but no one ever came. Was disappointed. Would of liked to sit out in the evening around the fire while the kids swam.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very accessible and pet friendly.

We recently stayed in July 2026 for one night before heading on our cruise. We normally stay at Hiltons; however, we were disappointed for the following reasons. 1) no parking when we arrived on the property and had to park across the street/intersection and pick up ourselves the following morning. it was not convenient. 2) the towels seemed dirty 3) the shower faucet was partially detached and the shower drain was not working. The check-in staff was courteous and offered us water bottles upon check-in.

No air conditioning it was broken on our check in day you would think a hotel like that would have a generator. Do better Hilton.
