Hyland Inn Long Beach

Hotel room was quiet even with its proximity to a big boulevard. Felt safe and parking was right in front of our room. Overall hotel condition is well taken care of. We were satisfied with the quality of the hotel for the amount that we paid and for it being a last minute reservation on a Thursday night.

I really enjoyed this location. They always had cleaning and towels available, it looked nice & had food in the same area. I’d definitely come back.

It’s very clean and it’s a brand new Nothing

It was OK I had an uncomfortable experience during my visit. I was menstruating and asked for two rolls of tissue, but my request was denied. Throughout my time there, I felt like I was being watched very closely, which made me uncomfortable. I cannot say for certain why this happened, but as an African American woman, it left me wondering whether I was being treated differently. Regardless of the reason, the experience made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I believe all customers should be treated with respect and allowed to shop without feeling like their every move is being monitored.

Location was good for access to the cryise port The floor was peeling up in varies locations causing trip hazards. Even though there is a sign posted no visitors people several doors down were partying. People knocking on the doors at 1 am...

Nothing Management was terrible

Never got my deposit back even though the room was clean n no damage and the person in the next room in the middle of the night was fighting until cops came

There is review after review where the subject title is just Excellent and then the comment is clean room or blah blah blah but there’s no way that you know 15 people are leaving reviews and they all just say basically the same thing. The hotel has no lobby. You check in talking to a employee through a plexiglass bulletproof window. It feels very much like a hotel that would be appropriate in a show like Breaking Bad. The best thing I can say about our room on this property was that the square footage was bigger than what I normally receive in other hotels… The rooms were quite large. Other than that the furnishings were sparse the electrical outlets not placed, where they’re very useful, not near a desk, no desk lamp. The couch was absolutely filthy, I did not even want to sit on it The bed was firm and cheap quality, ala a Motel 6. The refrigerator did not get very cold. I had to leave a drink and then overnight to get it to just a place where it was at a refreshing temperature. The air conditioning function appropriately. The property is basically configured like a 1970s style courtyard. It is two stories with no elevator they do not even have a ice machine. I guess I could say the parking is adequate although I could easily see an occasion where are you come back to the hotel and
