The heater/air conditioner sounded like I was in a machine shop. I could hardly hear myself think when they were on. Only one small mirror in the entire unit. My internet reception was very spotty. You advertise breakfast starting at 6. I assumed it was a free buffet like every other hotel I’ve been in for the last 30 years…it wasn’t I requested a room on the 1st or 2nd floor. I was told they were all booked. I ended up on the 3rd floor. The reason I requested 1st or 2nd was because I have severe claustrophobia and avoid elevators. So I took the stairs up and down from the 3rd floor for my entire stay.

Location worked for me. After getting settled in the room, I left the room for a meal. My plan was to return to the room in an hour to shower and prepare for a fancy event I was attending. When I returned to the room, the door lock would not work. Apparently the batteries died and there was no mechanical way to open the lock. The hotel staff could not locate a maintenance person or find anyone to open the door. They told me “we will get you another room but can’t get you back into your room for 24 hours…”. What!? Totally unacceptable. I traveled from afar to attend this formal event and was not going to show up in my sweat pants. I then remembered that I did not lock the sliding door on the balcony, and that my room was only on the second floor. I took matters into my own hands, found a ladder on the property, made a rather risky ladder climb onto my balcony and got back into the room. I was able to arrive at the event about 45 minutes late and salvaged the evening. No thanks to the hotel staff.

This place was a wow. The person at the front desk had a most memorable, genuine greeting upon arrival. Instantly set the stage for a great stay. The place felt clean, cozy, comfortable. Everything was well done in this place. Great location to get a good night’s rest and drive to Rocky Mountain National Park in less than an hour for sunrise.

Very deceiving photos and everything we picked about this was inaccurate. True- there is a fire pit but from the looks of it, it has not been used in 5 years. Looked forward to that. There is junk all around it and it most certainly is not used for guest satisfaction. True- there was a balcony but the chairs and wicker are very old and broken. The door worked and it was useable, True- there may usually be a hot tub and pool- not during our stay. With zero of those selected amenities available / up to par, no complimentary coffee brewed was disappointing. Did not use their pay for "cafe" and ate breakfast / got coffee elsewhere. As far as having beds and a shower, we were fine, but those are a given.

Clean room and great location. The air conditioner was not consistently working but overall, nice stay.

I didn't get a balcony room and their pool and hot tub were closed. A swim and soak is the reason we got the room. I should have been informed at check in.

Also the view of the drive from the hotel into Boulder is God-tier. In my opinion, better than staying in Boulder directly for this reason.

Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The bathrooms could use some updating… especially the potties…ours was super low to ground and round(very small). Our pullout sofa didn’t open so that was a disappointment since we wanted that when we booked that room. Otherwise, the location was nice, lots of restaurants and close to the Fair grounds which was why we were there.

Bathtub with large rust surface. Tile floor cracked and stained. Very limited towel racks. Lobby and cafe old and dark. with minimum staff.

The staff was super kind and even got me so I could check in early.

The location manager was exceptional Friday night when I checked in assisting me by phone to gain internet access! She was so helpful with a patient caring tone! The room was a little noisy at times when next door AC kicked on making it hard to sleep.
