Holiday Inn Longview - North by IHG

The staff was great. Very helpful, very polite.

We arrived with a double queen reservation and were told their end showed a king suite and they were fully booked and couldnt move us. We took our stuff in the room and went to dinner. Got a call during dinner letting us know they had in fact messed up and they had the double queen for us that we originally booked. Moved our suff to the new room only to realize the toilet didnt work properly. I let the front desk know and they were going to send maintenance in while we were gone for the day. We arrived back to the room that night to find it still didnt flush. It was our last night there and we were leaving early the next morning so we didnt bother calling again. I did let them know on our way out and didnt get an apology or anything. Just a "sorry about that."

Great stay! clean good breakfast and bar was a good time!

The property was clean

I booked a room at 10:30pm mistakenly the the date I was making on. I didn’t need a room for that night, it was for a future date. I realized it while payment was processing and was unable to cancel it. I called the property immediately and asked to amend the reservation as I would not be checking in that night but needed it for the following day. The property directed me to Expedia and said they couldn’t change anything. I contacted Expedia, and they said they would reach out to the property. After several days of follow up, I received an email from Expedia stating that the property had not replied to any of their inquiries and that there was nothing they could do. Seems as if the property was happy making an easy $100+ on a room they knew was not going to be used. Very disappointing.

Very good

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was delicious!

The lobby also had a very strong odor that smelled like sour mop water. My room had peeling wallpaper, worn furniture, and an awkward layout with a large amount of unused space. The window was so dirty and covered with moisture buildup that it was difficult to see outside, and it was just as noticeable from the exterior. Both nights were noisy. One night at 1:45 a.m., I was awakened by what appeared to be a very intoxicated guest across the hall blasting loud music while trying to get into his room for several minutes. Another issue was the lack of staff after check-in. The front desk was frequently unattended, making it impossible to purchase something as simple as a bottle of water or ask a question. The only consistently positive experience was with the housekeeping staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of the property, the service at check-in, and the noise made this a stay I would not choose to repeat.

Only thing was the noise on the floor above. Never stayed in a hotel where I could hear the kids running around upstairs. It wouldn’t keep me from staying here again.

My only problem was the extremely loud music playing beneath our room Friday and Saturday night. We were told it would end at 11pm but after calling the desk twice, I was told it would end at Midnight. Why weren't we told this when we checked in and why were we placed on the 2nd floor directly over the convention center ballroom? My husband and I booked a room for resting not for a concert! There are many great places to stay in Longview. This is still one of my favorite. I hope the management will work out this Noise problem and show consideration for their guest that are not there for a party.

Location and staff

The front desk person was extremely kind. The problem was the room. My room was not cleaned, chips & other items on the carpet, food left in the refrigerator, cleaning towels left on the desk, and no towels in the restroom. I called the front office to voice my complaint and was told I would be reassigned to another room. Once I get to the front desk, I was told there were no available rooms. My credit card was charged almost $300 for a room I didn’t use. I was moved to a different property that cost me more money to stay. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Location

The staff and room met our expectations. Checking out, the computer system was not working and I could not do a proper check out. I will stay again soon. Checking out. Their system was down and I wanted to use another credit card and was unable. Unfortunately, I could not wait until the system was online again.

Clean room. Good air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Did not do the breakfast or use the bar.

The ac was great, blew cold air all night very nice. It is very Loud not much sound resistance between the room and the door. You can hear everything….. but other than than was a good stay and would stay again.

Superb

The staff was friendly and our room was clean, but our shower was draining slowly and the water was almost up to my ankles by the time I finished showering. The indoor pool looked nice, but it was overrun by kids so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. There seemed to be a baseball tournament happening nearby so there were lots of kids.

Room was neat but many stains on the floor and in the bathroom (tub and floor) . Storage lacking in the bathroom so there was an unappealing rusted wire rack that held towels and extra toilet paper roll. Staff is amazing.

This time my check in clerk was very nice and friendly when I checked in super late. The restaurant staff was also accommodating when I walked in at almost closing time. I recommend this hotel!
