This is a tricky one. The outside of the Motel was tired and dated. Their road signage still mentions the Staples Center which renamed nearly 5 years ago. The area was clearly challenging. The room itself was new and done to a high spec. Air Conditioning was great. It's clear they are refurbing the rooms and updating the property, but the issues with the homeless people around the property, and the evening/morning cabaret of customers shouting their problems at the top of their voices did break my sleep. The elevator broke for the last 2 days I was there so I had to lug my heavy bags down stairs when leaving. As a budget option it was fine, but given the choice I think I'd pay more next time for a property where I felt more secure.

Considering the area, the room was decent. I appreciate that the towels and sheets seemed clean. My only tripe would be they haven’t vacuumed so take sandals. My feet would get dirty and full of hair walking from the bed to bathroom. Other than that, 7/10.

I booked this hotel for Anime Convention for the price let me tell you I never expected this. I understand it is an old building and there is nothing wrong with that, but the owner have no ownership pride. Place is like one of those you see in TV where some crime is about to happen. The bathtub had burned marks that we all know whats cooking. The desk and tables were very dirty, I went to target and bought towels and wipes so I can clean it because the cleaning crew focuses on just changing the sheets and taking the trash out and light mop or sweep, but everything else was dusty or sticky. The carpet was grimy after I showered and put my clean socks they were black just from walking on the carpet. The bed was horrible you can hear/ feel the coils moving when you sat or layed on the bed. The only thing I must say worked was the fridge, microwave and air conditioner. Pictures online are deceiving, not in a million years would I have chosen to stay in this deplorable place. I felt like I would get mugged just walking to and from my car. I paid almost $900 to stay here Thursday/Saturday. For the price there are definitely more options the pictures are not even remotely close. I would of been fine if this is what was offered and i choose to book but this is not what's offered online. If single or couples you may not mind staying here it may even add some charm to your stay role playing your on the run or you picked up a street worker and booked a wild night. But avoid with kids.

I was staying there for anime expo and I will say it was a nice place to stay since it wasnt too expensive but they did take a $100 security deposit incase i damage the property but I still never get it back even tho they said they'll pay it back after like a week and its been like 10 days now but besides from that it was a a nice place. The area was a bit dingy but it wasnt too bad.

Bait-and-Switch is what happened to me. I booked a nice, clean room, with a nice bathroom according to the pictures. After checking in, I walked into my room, which was wide open, and see four guys standing in the bathroom. One guy has the shower head in his hand. The shower and bathroom are a mess from the workers boots, and the shower obviously doesn’t work. I’m exhausted, arms loaded with my belongs looking at a room still under construction. Not to mention both rooms on either side of mine are open and being renovated. So where do they put me? They gave me the oldest, grungiest room they had. The main light didn’t work, the shower pressure was pathetic, the chair had more stains than the sidewalk outside, and the carpet was noticeably damp and sticky. I will never stay here again, and I suggest you don’t either if you’re reading my review this far.
