I’m looking for a dependable hotel for my regular visits to Los Angeles, but this one might not be my first pick. It’s in a great spot, and the staff is nice, but the shower is a bit small, and the cleanliness could be better.

perfect for my trip was just further away than website mentioned

Live hotel has become my reliable go-to when visiting my son at USC. Affordable rates and decent location.

Pretty clean and good, decent area

This place says family friendly. It is surrounded by homeless people. There was an abandoned couch in the alley way that was being used inappropriately. Felt extremely unsafe. When I tried to cancel they said it I would still be charged for the room because I was canceling day of. I was alone with my 11-year-old daughter. I felt unsafe & there was no security! Do not book this if you want to feel safe and have children. I tried to try something different. Lesson learned.

Loved the cafe and 24/7 desk help. Check in was incredibly fast and easy!
-
Perfect stay! Rooms were clean, staff were helpful and friendly, and not far from LA Live and Exposition Park. Will definitely stay again

To make matters worse, they charged me $29 for checking out just six minutes late. Overall, the service was horrible and very disappointing. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

I had to book a room here last minute on a Friday night after the other hotel I was planning on staying at somehow double booked my room and had no availability. Customer service was prompt. Room was small but clean. We weren’t here long so I’m not sure about the other amenities but there’s a cute coffee shop in the lobby with a really sweet lady working there that’s worth checking out. Overall it was quiet other than having a room with an adjoining door and we could hear literally everything next door.

I was skeptical about the location of the hotel but we could easily get around with Lyfts. The hotel seems very modern inside and overall was a very nice and clean hotel. My only downside was that we booked a room on the second floor and could hear every foot step from upstairs so I had a hard time sleeping. Would still recommend if you’re looking for a nice reasonably priced hotel near downtown !

My stay here was sooo much better than I expected. The rooms were very well kept and clean. I really liked how spacious it was and the fact that the sink was outside the bathroom. I would absolutely stay here again the next time. There’s also lots of shops around like 7/11, McDonald’s, a chicken shop, a Koran bbq restaurant. The only downside is that it’s not in the nicest area, so walking around at night can be dangerous

The place was decently priced for being so close to downtown. Would stay there again. The only thing I would suggest is to have a no smoking rule because the hallways smelled like smoke. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. Oh and the bonus was the parking was very secure.

The room had a strong cleaning products smell, but we got used to it. There was someone checking the AC when we walked in but it was ok. The AC did work very well though which was nice. Also Tom n Tom downstairs is great. The breakfast Sandi was so good I ate it two days in a row! The owner is very nice and makes great coffee too. The parking across the street was actually ok.

It was a pleasant stay

Less than a mile away from the Los Angeles convention center I worked there frequently and when I need a place to stay close by at a reasonable price, this is where I go.

Don’t do it! You get what you pay for. Or in my case, waste your money. The pictures are deceiving. There was no where to park in the structure attached to the hotel. We had to park across the street in a sketchy area. The moment I stepped into the hotel I was hit with an unpleasant smell. It is an older hotel so I hoped the smell was limited to the lobby. I was greeted by a kiosk, a live person on a screen. Not bad but strange. It was late about 11pm and my young daughter and I were exhausted from a long day. The room was hot and humid! It was warmer inside the room than it was outside. There is a remote to start the air. It didn’t seem to be working. Big spider in the bathroom. No big deal, I killed it. Then I looked at the bed. The foot of the bed was a bench and it was dirty. Like a brown smear and white splotches. I didn’t even want to pull back the sheets at that point. I just wanted to get out of there. It felt like a nightmare. I went to the front desk and asked for a refund. I didn’t care at this point that I had to drive 2 hours home in the middle of the night. I just knew I couldn’t stay there. The receptionist was nice but didn’t seem to know what to do or could do. I was not offered a new room, a discount, nothing. Just apologies. We booked within the 24hour window, so they won’t refund me. It was a spontaneous decision to stay the night after a concert. I trusted the pictures. I’m out $200 for a bad experience. Learn from my experience.

The room was nice and clean and the air conditioning was great. Tom n Toms downstairs is also a plus.
