Los Gatos Garden Inn Hotel

Ok, we stayed one night. Room was very very small. It was fine, would most likely choose someplace else in the future.

I arrived on Thursday and Thursday night the toilet bowl tank would periodically make noises that sounded like it was flushing. I reported this to the staff at the office on Friday morning. Friday night when I returned nothing had been done. I tried calling the office and calls wouldn’t connect. On Saturday there was no one at all in the office all day and there was a telephone number if you needed to check in. On Sunday, there was no one in the office until 11 o’clock. On Sunday evening there was no one in the office at 7:30 PM. I have stayed at this hotel previously several times and the service has now diminished terribly. How can you have a hotel with no staff to respond to guests when they need something? I hate to give a bad review, but until they have staff that is attentive to guess I will probably not stay there in the future.

Location was perfect. Clean and charming. The TV didn’t work. The staff were extremely loud and obnoxious starting at 7:00 AM.

The floor of the room was creeky and warped, it looked like a garage sale inside rather than a modestly appointed motel…and to top it all off I waited for over 20 minutes for the water to warm up in the shower and it NEVER happened (so not even a shower) uuuuggg!!

I really wanted to love this place. When I first checked in, I found it so incredibly charming. It's a cute little boutique hotel, consisting of conjoining bungalows in a courtyard, right in downtown Los Gatos. And they really leaned into the Marilyn Monroe theme, since she honeymooned there with Joe Dimaggio. The room itself was like a small studio apartment; decent-sized bedroom, a little office nook off to the side, and an entire kitchenette with a large fridge, microwave, stovetop and dishware. But this place is old and I discovered that the things I needed didn't work. I was there for work events and when I got home I really wanted to curl up in the front of the TV and relax, only the remote didn't work. And the office closes early; 9:00, and it was 9:07 so I was SOL. And the next morning I desperately needed a shower before my 8:00 board meeting, but the shower didn't work. There were two knobs which turned the faucet on and adjusted the temp, but nothing that would turn on the showerhead and no instructions. I had to take a quick bird bath. These two things made the stay very disappointing.

Good basic place to stay for the price with all the surrounding hotels being so expensive. It’s very spacious and the staff is friendly.

First, there were no bath towels in our room, so that made the shower useless in the morning, since the front desk was "closed" until 9am. Second, we never got a WiFi password at check in, and it was not posted in the room. By the time we needed the WiFi, the front desk was "closed" until 9am. Third, the "grab & go" breakfast was not available until 9am, either. Fourth, the room wasn't very sound proof, as there were street noises all night, and other noises as well that prevented decent sleep. Fifth, the bed was very soft to the point we could barely sleep in it. Sixth, the light switches in the room offered no rhyme or reason to which lights they actually controlled, so that was a puzzle to solve. All in all, this was not a pleasant experience at all, and we don't be staying here again. Oh, and the parking! Wow ... just no room when multiple guests with oversized SUVs, trucks, and the like get there first. We had to do an 18-point maneuver to get into a tiny spot and then another 18-point adventure to get out of it. But hey, the room was clean, so there's that.

Clean rooms, friendly staff

Very thin walls, unfortunately had loud neighbors in the middle of both nights..Parking was inconvenient, not enough spaces so had to park way around the block but at least that was an option provided. The staff seemed very pleasant. Room was fine but no closet. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Still, it was a nice property just needs some improvements.

Great location, Very Clean & great succulents! My stay was great. Private & quiet. After-hours check-in was easy. Old school motel vibe but upgraded! The front office was kind of weird. Outdoor staff was great, office staff was a little off putting & no bottled water seemed odd. Honestly, 1st world problems, a couple brief interactions.

The room (including the bathroom) looks run down. Definitely need updates. Location is very convenient to the main areas of Los Gatos.

The room was immaculate, new shower was very nice, GREAT BED! Very well kept up property with a very helpful staff.
