There is a train track close by but the stay was great regardless

First let me say that the hotel is very nice and that I would stay there again the next time visiting Lynchburg. The only issue that I ran into was kind of a quirky issue between Hotels.com and the hotel. I was using one key points to pay for much of the room, and spent extra $39 to upgrade for a premium room. When I got to the hotel, they said that the premium room was not available but would discount me back to the standard room. Oh wait, the amount you paid for a premium room is cheaper that our standard room so we cannot give you the discount. Please pick out a bottle of wine for your troubles. Guess what hit my incidental's, yep the bottle of wine. This is not a complaint against the hotel or hotel.com, just one of those Quirky hiccups while traveling. At least the bottle of wine was good:)

Great professional service!

Amazing vibe. Staff very friendly. Lots of "extra" touches, like a white sound machine with oil diffuser in room, wonderfully fragrant bath products (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Liked it all!

The Craddock-Terry is a beautiful hotel created as a high-end renovation of a historic shoe factory. Our room had a view only of the parking lot, but was very comfortable. One surprise was the shoe-box breakfast, which should be a nice amenity given that our room was almost $300/night after taxes. Instead we got a supermarket yogurt, an orange juice, two highly processed muffins wrapped in plastic, and two apples. All would be fine for your standard highway exit motel, but out of character here.

Wonderful hotel overall. Very lovely rooms with good amenities. My one complaint is that whatever they clean the bathrooms and desks with makes them incredibly tacky and sticky. Not pleasant to walk on or touch. Still, will definitely stay there again and be sure to bring some sandals or slippers.

Great hotel a refurbished shoe factory. Every room is unique. The place is spotless, staff is welcoming. Great little continental breakfast art your door in the morning. Two restaurants on site. It was all great. For light sleepers it is near train tracks, they have earplugs if you need them.

We always love staying at...

If you are sensitive to noise a freight train rolls right by a couple of times in the night. Didn't bother us as we had been driving all day and added a hike at the Natural Bridge State Park, so we were exhausted.

Historic splendor with friendly staff. The location is convenient for walking and exploring Lynchburg's downtown businesses as well as the James River trails. Ample resturants to chose from. There is no available room service.

Very unique in appearance. Rooms large, clean, spacious. Staff friendly. Cute gift shop. Walking along bluff nice. Comfortable beds. Wi-Fi a little slow and not secure. Lots of construction when we were there Restaurant closed, but we found good options nearby

We have loved this property for over a decade, and it never fails. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Pet friendly and the staff are wonderful. It's one of our favorite places to stay anywhere in the world.

Horrible, I ended up having my guest stay elsewhere and lost my payment of $. A total waste of money.
