Cabins of Mackinaw

The cabin was good for a family of 4. Only one ac unit which made it hard to cool off the second bedroom….and the tv wasn’t working.

Hot water non existent, could be called occasionally warm at best. No microwave. “Large TV” maybe 25”. Lighting very dim, that may have been a blessing. All this we were willing to endure until we tried to use jacuzzi the night before we checked out and there was no way to use it as the water was way too cold. Next morning no one at desk to let them know these issues and had to go to the clarion next door. Nothing they could do but have them call us. They eventually did and said it was our fault for not telling them earlier so they could try to fix it. Don’t know if this is a sample of the hotel quality at Mackinaw city but not taking any chances and just staying away from now on

We checked in to the honeymoon suite and we did not have hot water in the room for 2 hrs and pool and hot tub were just filled the day we arrived and it was middle of June so couldn't use other one for the 2 days we stayed and manager said he would make it right not never did

Was great time beautiful cabin. Loved the personal hot tub. They allowed pets and my pups had lots of room. Will come back again.

When I booked the stay I thought it was a cabin turned out to be a hotel room. It was ok.

The waterpark was also a perfect fit for our trip and truly completed the experience. It was fun, well-maintained, and had something for everyone to enjoy. Having such a great waterpark along with such an incredible cabin made this getaway unforgettable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

The staff was helpful and brought us new sheets because the one on the bed had a dirty spot.

Water park was a nice surprise. A little work needed. Cute room.

Staff were friendly. The location was great. The water park was fantastic, although looking a little run down. The room was a bit dusty and dirty in corners. The exercise room (3 pieces of equipment total, no weights) was non-functional, with one extremely loud treadmill, a bike that didn’t work and a bike with no seat.

There was an area where they had the laundry outside, which we could see from our cabin porch and a garbage area. Something happened, where the birds were everywhere going through it. They did have trash cans in between the cabins which made it convenient, but for some reason in that area, there was a bunch of garbage. Staff was extremely helpful and thorough

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful!

No cold water in the bathroom. Front desk said they would send someone to fix it but never showed up.

Needs to be updated

The first room we had smelled awful and the bed was lumpy, bathroom was really outdated and yellow. They let us change rooms easily and the new room was better, but still not great. The pool area smelled awful and my daughter opted not to swim. Location was very nice.

Pictures did not represent the cabin WE got. Pictures were of the new cabins but half the cabins are older and smaller cabins. They were clean but the pics should reflect the whole property not just the newer nice ones. Would not stay here again. Expensive for a 50s tiny cabin.

I did enjoy the price and outdoor hot tub and found the staff nice but wouldn’t recommend or go again.

The air conditioner in our room wasn’t working properly. The room itself was mediocre the night stand was a broken piece of furniture that wasn’t even at bed level ( it sat in the floor) all the rooms smelled like bug spray ( very strong smell) the staff looked miserable. Would recommend staying at the Bayside instead much nicer with better updates

Room could use some updating

The Office Staff was friendly and efficient. The room was well maintained and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Pinky, our Housekeeper, was wonderful and accommodating. The Cabins made for a very unique hotel experience. We would return and will recommend to others.
