Exterior is showing its age, needs maintenance and a good painting. Room was very nice. Not anywhere to hang up clothes. Breakfast in the dining room was great !

The buildings were beautiful and the grounds were perfect! There is a nice big courtyard with tables and chairs to where you can choose to have your breakfast served, or you can have it brought to your room, which also had an area for you to dine. It's conveniently located and definitely a place that makes you feel welcomed! Thumbs up all the way.. enjoy your time here! You won't regret it!

We have stayed there several times. The rooms are great, the staff is wonderful. The last time we stayed was 6 years ago, while I understand how much maintenance this huge mansion must take. The paint is beginning to peel on the outside. It’s concerning that the property won’t be able to keep going

We loved our stay at the 1842 Inn. The staff was incredibly helpful, warm and gracious. The building is beautifully cared for. It was a special night. Thank you to all that made it happen.

This is an incredibly cool place to say (both literally and figuratively). My husband counted eight separate air conditioners on the roof, which makes sense when you consider this house was built during a time when there was no central AC and summers in Macon can be brutal. That being said, if you're someone who takes a chill, you would be advised to pack warm pajamas or some fuzzy socks. They offer extra blankets, though! This whole place is incredibly beautiful and steeped in history. I cannot recommend it enough.

THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY... WE STAYED THERE ON THE WAY TO NC AND DECIDED TO STAY ON THE WAY BACK FROM NC... I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE 1842 INN!!
